She doesn't live on the Gulf side but not too far from Charlotte Harbor. As late as noon today, there wasn't any indication that Charley was headed straight up Charlotte Harbor, all the predictions pointed at Tampa Bay - so many people stayed, either in their home or in a shelter.

Today's weather-forecast technology is remarkable, but Charley proves yet again that Mother Nature is unpredictable and forecasting isn't a perfect science.

New Details About Video Shot By Pakistani Man Living In Queens

(New York-WABC, August 13, 2004) — The NYPD says it has new details about videotape shot by a Pakistani man living in Queens.

Investigators say Kamrahn Ahktar shot extensive footage of landmarks in our area.

They include the American Express Building, the Verizon Telephone Building, the Statue of Liberty, and the Williamsburg and Brooklyn Bridges. Security officers at those sites will be advised of the appropriate precautions.

Kamran Akhtar was recently arrested in North Carolina.

A police officer in Charlotte says the Elmhurst man was videotaping sky scrapers there and acted evasively when the officer tried to question him.

Still, Ahktar has not been connected to any terrorist group. He is being held on immigration charges at this time.
