Hugh Hewitt just finished playing an entire story from Fox News wherein Carl Cameron confronted the Kerry campaign regarding his Cambodia claims.
Intially, they denied that Kerry had ever said he was in Cambodia. So Carl presented them with the Senate Record and the Boston Globe article where he most unambiguously did so. They said they would have to get back to him on this one, but sticks to their story that he was near Cambodia, but not actually in Cambodia.
THIS STORY HAS LEGS!

I await the Gary Hart withdrawal.
Thanks for this.
"You head back towards Sa Dec to make your report while transiting the night darkness is broken by tracers flying up out of a Vietnamese outpost that is celebrating Christmas. ... Apologies are quick to (unable to read) but they mean nothing amidst all the chaos and waste. It's cool now and the evening has closed around you to become full night. The night for once is comforting and you take a coke and some peanut butter and jelly and go up on the roof of the cabin whit your tape recorder and sit for a while, quietly, watching flares float silently through the sky and flashes announce disquieting intent somewhere in the distance. You call down to one of your men and ask him to draft a message to the Admiral in Command of all Naval Forces in Vietnam and also to the Commander of Market Time. IT says "Merry Christmas from the most inland Market Time unit." You hope that they'll court marshal you or something because that would make sense. But the night soothes everything and the people and things that are close to you dart through the mind and bring the only warmth and peace that there is. Visions of sugar plums really do dance through your head and you think of stockings and snow and roast chestnuts and fires with birch logs and all that is good and warm and real. It's Christmas Eve."
O'neill mentions "sugar plum fairies" in Kerry's head on Christmas 1968 in his letter to TV station managers. It's directly from Kerry's own words!
Is there any way to get this to Carl Cameron? Kerry himself says he was in Sa Dec on Christmas. He also never says in his journal that he went to Cambodia, only that the river he was on went "toward Cambodia".

Carl Cameron Confronts Kerry Campaign on Concerning Cambodia
LOL! I wouldn't put it past them to use that picture in their campaign literature.
I had mentioned earlier on another thread that the panel hadn't mentioned the Johnson/Nixon angle and was set straight. But I don't think it was stated as clearly as I would have liked because it went past me. I hope to hear that part stressed in future discussions since it's an important reason Kerry came up with his story.
The way I heard it from Brit Hume made it obvious there is only one way to clear the air: ask Kerry. Give him a platform on which to respond to questions. Brit did a real number on his pontificating all stars (Mara and Juan). It was a sight to behold. Brit's back on track.
Way to go Carl!!Its time Lurch answered some tough questions. He will get caught up in his own dodo.
SENT IT TO EMAIL LIST!
THANKS.
Heh! I just saw him this very week, pontificating about the ways of the world of politics. What a loser.
WOW that was good.
ping
They apparently stole Kerry's personality while they were there as well...
Bump!
Yep. He read your post, and said "Travis, you get it!"
Way to go. Better tape it...I would.

Hewitt's a FReeper!
I guess having Rick Kaplan being head of CNN after being in charge of Clinton Gore campaign wouldn't be a problem of conflict of interest- or Stephanopolous be a "jouranlist" or Tim Russert be a Journalist or Chris Matthews be a journalist or Dan Blather contribute to Dem campaigns and consider himself a journalist- all because Carl Cameron is polite he is suspect- THese Dems this year are hell bent on discrediting FOX just like they tried with Limbaugh , American Spectator, etc the Trial lawyers are on the hunt for trouble
I thought it was illegal for an unathorized person to negotiate for the US (as in against the law). I guess the law doesn't apply to congressmen and senators from the northeast, huh?
This Time We Deserve the Truth
By Frank Salvato
We need to know if Lt. Com. Louis Letson, the medical officer who treated Kerry for his first injury resulting in a Purple Heart, is correct in his claim that the wound didnt warrant the commendation. We need to know if Gunners Mate 2nd Class Van Odell, a man who insists he was present when Kerrys action allegedly warranted him his Bronze Star, is correct when he contends that Kerry lied to get that honor. We need to know if Rear Admiral Roy Hoffman, the recipient of a Distinguished Service Medal and a Silver Star, is correct when he says John Kerry is unfit to be Commander in Chief. We not only need to know, we deserve to know.
We could listen to the he-said-she-said game of tit-for-tat that politicians like to play when they dont want to answer specific questions. We could listen to Terry McAuliffe, James Carville, Bill Clinton and the rest of the Leftinista say that this attack was a creation of the GOP undoubtedly Ted Kennedy will blame it on the Crawford Cabal but, as Kerry likes to say, simply saying something isnt so doesnt prove anything.
This time around John Kerry should have to face the real heat of the intrusive American media and the mainstream media should obligate itself to hold Kerrys feet to the fire. After all, it doesnt matter whose blood is spilled just as long as the scandal bleeds long enough to sell papers, right?
These accusations need to either be validated or they need to be put to bed as slanderous rumors. This time the American people deserve more than flip-flopping and arrogance. This time we deserve the truth.
hi hugh!
