Truman's decision to drop the bomb is a huge embarrassment for the RATs. To hear them talk, you'd never even know he'd been president. It's FDR 24/7, and then the Smithsonian exhibit is skewed so far to the left, you'd never know we were attacked, let alone what we were fighting for. And now, the Mayor of Nagasaki labels us as 'egocentric'. We won the war, but that was then, this is now and the PC crowd defines every issue. We're the bad guys, no matter what, no matter when. The PC crowd hates America for some deepseated psychological reason I can't even begin to describe. That's it. They're crazy. Sane people don't let schizo's tell them what to do, and neither should we. (They don't elect crackpots President, either.)

RUSH: Back to this Hiroshima business, I remember when I was in Sacramento, the mayor at the time was a babe named Anne Ruden, and big lib, just big lib. And every August she'd go over to Japan and basically they had big rallies and so forth where the people go over there and tell Japan that America was sorry for dropping the bombs, except it was just independent little mayors, some little towns, and Anne Ruden would go over there and say America is sorry. And I always got mad because we're not sorry. We haven't apologized for that. We're not sorry we did that. It ended the war, for crying out loud.
And Sunday is Nagasaki, so we can look forward to that great anniversary, too, but Robert from Wilkes-Barre said we need to reflect on this. And I pooh-poohed that during his call, but I actually think that we should, folks. Let us take our remaining moments here in today's excursion into broadcast excellence and to reflect on today's anniversary of Hiroshima and Sunday's anniversary of Nagasaki.

Wasn`t it right after the bomb that Godzilla started showing up at Japans door? Oh wait, the nuclear mutation had to take effect so it was about 10 years later. Truly devastating to Japan. Once they would construct a building, that bastard would come in and smash it down. Then other mutations started showing up, Mothra, Rodan, Ghidrah, the smog monster, Gigan, Megalon, mechagodzilla, Biollante, Megaguiras....Yes sir, it will be a cold day in hell before Japan ever attacks us again, that is why I endorse nuclear weapons. We should just nuke the middle east and they too will have Godzilla and other monsters to tend to. That monster will come right in and knock over all the Mosques.

“Atomic Bombs Saved Lives”
It’s another anniversary of the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
We must again suffer fools and listen to the hand wringing of the hate-America crowd. They have no knowledge or understanding of history.
The fact is dropping those two bombs saved the lives of 350,000 POW’s and Millions of American soldiers and Japanese citizens.
The Japanese mindset of dieing for the Emperor was ingrained in the people and they were not “about to surrender” as the history rewriters now state. Consider these facts and events; the mass suicide on Siapan, kamikaze flyers, the banzi suicide charge and the Japanese strategy of “ War of attrition” that was played out on Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Look it up, I don’t have the time to give a history lesson.
Dropping those bombs was not a “crime against humanity” it was the answer to the prayers of millions of mothers and fathers.

As a test I asked a young Naples Daily News reporter “Where is Guadalcanal?” She said, “I don’t know, I just moved here.”
Not that it matters, but there was no UN when Truman dropped the bombs.
But there was the League of Nations that needed to be ignored because they became corrupt and inept.

Interestingly, in segments of South Korean society, this day is acutally celebrated. A good friend of mine was stationed at Osan AB (about 35 NM SW of Seoul) in the early 1980s. On August 8th, she was shopping outside the base, when she noticed that many of the older Koreans were dressed in their holiday finest and had ceremonial lanterns outside their homes. Later, when she asked a Korean officer what the occasion was, he stared at her in amazement. "Don't you know what day this is? This is the day you dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki." Koreans who remember the horrors of Japanese occupation remember the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as reasons to celebrate....
