If Keyes speaks at the convention he will be what Pat Buchanan was in 1992.

If you mean that he'll be the victim of an insane amount of left wing propaganda spin to portray him as a hate-monger, then yes, I agree.

That's why he'll never be given a prominent slot. This convention as been too carefully packaged as "centerist" for them to risk that.

Let's agree the media ganged up on Buchanan for the moment. Even beyond that, most of the attendees, dignitaries and others felt Buchanan's speech did more harm than good. Even many of those who defended him then as his personality and proclivities became more well known, they too have began to distance themselves from him.

Keyes will likely do the same. High profile convention and a high profile race. Dr. Keyes has many good qualities. He also is an egotist. Egotists don't know when to speek up and when to be quiet.
