Whatever you usually think of him, tune into Savage live now!
He's spending the show (again) on getting the swiftboat vets story out there. His guest will be, for the second time, the machine gunner who served with John Kerry on his boat. Steve Gardner, I believe is his name.
Also, Savage is expressing his disappointment with Fox News, specifically O'Reilly, for spiking this story and essentially calling the veterans liars. Savage says it's because O'Reilly wants to get John Kerry on his show.

Okay, Savage isn't someone I normally enjoy. But, this story is so important. Denying venue to
true war heroes, like the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, is shameful.
Savage "gets it" big time that it's a crime to label these guys as liars. If nothing else, tune in to hear Gardner. Savage says he's the most important guest of this week on any radio show. I agree.

He's not on TV. He's a talk radio host. Maybe someone has a link for internet streaming if you don't have access to a radio.

I feel bad for Gardner.
He spoke out this past spring...And the Kerry camp stooped to the lowest levels ever to stop his comments from getting out.
The Kerry Goons called media outlets and told them that they should not print interviews with Gardner...then they tried to claim he had mental problems.
One of the media folks talked. Told either Talonnews.com or Newsmax.com.

I'm far from a fan of Savage BUT if he's defending these guys he has proven himself to have more character than the people on Fox News.
To: lonevoice
Savage is a real agitator. He wants audience, and tries to make people angry. That's his bit. I sometimes agree with him. But when he gets it wrong, I think he's worse than Hannity. As for O'Reilly, I think he just likes mixing it up, as well, and doesn't necessarily have any more of a set of 'core beliefs' than does Clinton (or Kerry, or Terry).
Gardner is on record, all over the net, and at the Swift boat vets site.
But by all means, listen to Savage. When he's right, he's right. And he'll be right on this stuff, too.

Thanks! I heard Gardner on Savage the first time last week. He's an articulate and credible spokesman on behalf of the swifties. Plus, he was actually on the boat with Effen, which puts the lie to the DNC lawyer's contention that none of the swifties involved in the ad were on Kerry's boat.

That's exactly the point, IMHO. Savage may be a ranting lunatic nearly all the time as far as many of us are concerned. But, Gardner's story stands on its own, and Savage backs him 100%.

I don't listen to Savage much. He whines a lot.
But Gardner needs to be heard.
