Whatever you usually think of him, tune into Savage live now!
He's spending the show (again) on getting the swiftboat vets story out there. His guest will be, for the second time, the machine gunner who served with John Kerry on his boat. Steve Gardner, I believe is his name.
Also, Savage is expressing his disappointment with Fox News, specifically O'Reilly, for spiking this story and essentially calling the veterans liars. Savage says it's because O'Reilly wants to get John Kerry on his show.
"dishonest and deceptive"
I stand corrected
FREEPERS...EMAIL THIS AFFIDAVIT TO EVERY TALK RADIO SHOW (LOCAL and NATIONAL) YOU CAN THINK OF. SEND IT TO THE NETWORKS.....LET THEM KNOW WE ARE ON TO THEM/.
I am sending a copy to the Globe ...and Kranish.
Holy Snikes!
No wonder Kranish wrote the bogus hit piece in the Globe this morning....He is trying to cover his own a--!
Elliot cite KRANISH (Globe Reporter) as a source.
Sect. 4.
It seems the Globe reporter was very dishonest and misleading in today's article.
Ive been without internet for the past 4 days and was at the mercy of the media for info L0L !! Im a bit behind on all this fracas
Dollars to donuts, that affidavit was faxed to every major television network's news bureaus, radio stations, and newspapers shortly after it was signed. The Swift Boat Vets seem darn well organized to me.
When the media says "Oh, we didn't know!" -- could be they are telling the truth, but then again, maybe they aren't. I for one, NEVER give the media the benefit of the doubt.
Now, if lots of people start sending it to the media, the media will have a measure of how well known the fact is, and can be forced to run it, in order to keep "market share" and influence. Can't be found out as liars, that would harm the ability to influence public opinion.
Kranish is on Kerrys campaign payroll. and is writing a book for the campaign
You know, I just assumed I was answering a question about the radio show -- oops! I know Tony is on the TV slot, I have no idea who did the radio show today.
Now, that would be frightening. LOL. You'll be caught up in no time now.
Hey, it's great to see you.
You're right. It wasn't Tony Snow as his radio fill-in today. I've listened to so much news the past few days it's all running together. I can't remember the name of the guy.
Thanks for the "howdy," good to see you too.
I keep forgetting that O'Reilly even has a radio show. LOL.
It's upsetting to think that when at long last, the truth comes out about Kerry, Savage ratchets up the hype or whatever he thought he was doing, and ends up weakening the message. It's not about Bush, it's about Kerry who's made his Vietnam service the raison d'etre for his campaign. Fine. Let's examine that service and see if he's fit to be Commander in Chief. Kerry doesn't want that. God forbid anyone should know the first thing about his incredibly short tour of duty.
The only reason Bush and company would disavow the ad is that they don't know these guys and can't be sure they're telling the complete truth. Bush's campaign strategists have the next three months meticulously planned, no doubt. The uproar surrounding this ad is a huge monkeywrench. But...that said...free speech is paramount. Let these vets tell what they saw, and let Kerry and Edwards twist in the wind. Every time they threaten to sue a TV or radio station, the voters remember that these RATs are lawyers. Why would they threaten to sue unless there was some truth to the allegations. The dumbest man in the street can figure that one out. Besides, maybe Bush and Rove and company are laughing up their sleeves about all this. I sure hope so. It's priceless.
Still working the transcript ... will have to stop playback when Steve rejoins Michael Savage at 9, and transcription is slow going. FReepmail me if you want a ping when it's up.
From what I've been reading on FR the past couple of days, Mr. No Spin is getting a lot of email. Thanks for adding yours.
Ha Hannity is on this! Just denounced the Globe story as being wrong.
dems are lying on hannity claiming bush is behind the ad
I think that the Bush people are trying to keep "above the fray" If they said any thing in direct support of the Vets they would be accused of smearing dirt on the dims.
I have not heard of them saying anything directly against the Vets either.
By staying aloof they can avoid most of the screaming from the dims.
