I did find a number and called, but it was even less satisfying than the e-mail. It was just a chance to correct an news story. 1 888 369 4762 It might be worth overwhelming FOX's lines though.
I can't believe fox reported only 1/4 of this story.
What about the boston globe author working for kerry.
What aobut eliot saying the boston globe MISREPRESENTING what he said.
What about eliot saying he still supports what he said.
SLOPPY!
I saw that. I'm sure the Boston Globe story will be reported this way all over the news.
Only problem is they WILL have to retract it, or they will look stupid when people quickly find out that the story is false.
The more people fight this story and try to smear the Vets the more they will be determined to set the record straight.
The leaking of excerpts from the book before it shows up in book stores, and the attacks and threats by the Kerry camp promise to keep this story alive.
My email to Fox News:
Why are you reporting the supposed "Retraction" of George Elliot's affidavit concerning John Kerry's war record as straight news? Whatever happened to fair and balanced?
In an ad released today, Elliot reconfirms his original statement.
Elliot says the Boston Globe article was "extremely inaccurate and highly misleading."
The author of the piece in the Globe is Kerry's authorized biographer and the Boston Globe correspondent for the Kerry campaign.
Further, the author, Mike Kranish, wrote the forward to the official Kerry Campaign book.
Yet Fox News did not seem to feel that these points were worth mentioning by either Shep Smith or Jim Angle.
I don't know anymore than you do who's telling the truth. But if Fox News wishes to continue to enjoy it's reputation as at least moderately evenhanded, it might consider telling both sides of such an important story.
I might as well be watching CNN.
The accusation is enough.
EVEN if retracted on page 100z, the original lie of "some vet" retracting his story.
NOBODY is reporting about the "some vet" retracting support for kerry.
John Kerry is either a "war hero" or a "war criminal"
Can't have it both ways.

Swift Boat Vets documented TRUTH, not the media PING!
DON'T BELIEVE THE TV AND CABLE NEWSROOMS!
I'm flabbergasted at what I'm hearing about Fox today - is ANYBODY over there standing up for the Swift Boat Vets?
Will Michael Moore ask forgiveness?
(And to think the NYT HAS to put this book at #1 on the bestseller list? SWEET!)
BOSTON GLOBE 'REPORTER' COMMISSIONED TO WRITE CAMPAIGN BOOK FOREWORD -- WHILE COVERING KERRY...
at:
"..But Captain George Elliott claims the Kranish article is "extremely inaccurate" and highly misstated his actual views..."
Then either get a copy of the affidavit and read it (it's short, less than 500 words), or wait before reporting on the story. They way it came off, FoxNews is asserting bald-faced lies. Hardly "ducks in a row" material.
MEDIA LIED, ON PURPOSE, ABOUT SWIFT BOAT VETS, TODAY!

He fixed it hours ago. Before noon, by my guess.
The media does not need facts in order to form opinion. They do fine with lies, opinion and innuendo.
I don't rely on any one news source for my information, so they don't have me where they want me. The problem is, they are influencing others who will each have a vote equal to mine. Those misinformed voters will be deciding who my president will be. As much as it bothers me that they are lying to me, the real problem is that they are lying to people that I don't have the ability to contact with the facts. I tell my family and friends what I learn through various sources, but that's just a handful of people. How many people are getting their information exclusively from the lying liberal media outlets? Probably the majority of the voting public. That's the real problem.
SwiftVets fire back! (letter and affidavit!)
