Hovering up above we had Army Kiowa and Apache attack helicopters engaging the enemy on rooftops with Hellfire missiles and rockets.

I believe he is a Corporal or a Specialist and probably is not trained to call in air strikes.

i was wondering if the marines have been using their AV-8b harriers any place.

I suppose they could never replace attack helicopters. but would harriers make sense with special forces detachments?

He should be able to read the grids and coords. All Marines in my unit were trained to call in Air and Arty, mini-ANGLICO.

Does not say that all Marines were capable of doing it on "spot, (walk it in) target".
