32,000 jobs were created in July. The unemployment rate down at 5.5%
Details to come...
ouch
Incorrect, there is no connection between unemployment benefits and the Household Survey which calculates the unemployment rate.
Cool, now we can get minimum wage jobs at Wal Mart or Pizza Hut.
People are crediting slow hiring to rising oil prices. I'm suspicious that among these "foreign leaders" that Kerry began to claim on his side may be Vladimir Putin, who reports indicate, is flirting with nationalizing Russian oil, which in turn is driving up oil prices.
Is it likely that one goal of this on Putin's part is to replace Bush with Kerry?
Kerry: the Muscovite Candidate?
What think you?
732,000 new jobs then, in July?
Then, what in the world is all this doom and gloom? This is crazy.
demon media at it's worst.....in fairness, the actual number was 629K, and I do not know if the 32K was inside that 629.
I can see where measuring true unemployment would be hard. They don't count those who don't work but collect welfare, SSDI, etc. I doubt those receiving NAFTA displaced workers welfare benefits are counted.
Then you have situations where there was a two-income family and one lost their job but decided just to stay home. Also how is "contract labor" counted in? Someone could easily be un unemployment and doing contract labor on the side and be doing very well. Plus many jobs are not being offered to Americans but recruiting is going on in Mexico.
Ok, you have convinced me thread after thread - we are going to lose. Bush is dead meat, cannot get the media to allow him airtime (what a president). All is going against Bush.
Yet, on the otherhand, Kerry is an utter creep, a self-pompous multi-millionaire that has nothing to show for years in the Senate and mounts his campaign on hate and his four superlative months paying superman in Vietnam. No one sees any of this creepiness, no one worries about his fitness for leadership although there are emails and forum reports advising the truth (even a few books and articles). He received very little bounce from the convention. But, what the heck, the democrat party controls all media, lies are sugar-coated or totally ignored. Fraud is expected and accepted, dishonor in the candidate is painted as honor.
And, we come along and blame all of this on Bush as running a poor campaign. We are whipped, beaten, and there is just no sense in thrashing it to death over polls.
There is just nothing Bush could do to win other than pull out of Iraq, admit he misled all in war, admit that he did it for revenge of "daddy" and contact the French and Germans to see how to run the world.
Of course, immediately, the media and the dems would mount a massive impeachment effort against the president for the admitted violations of the public trust.
So, you see, there is just no way Bush will be president for another four years. We must come to love and respect Kerry - our next president.
You were right, just right as rain, and I was a fool to think that many Americans saw through Kerry as I did and saw and respected the things I saw in President Bush.
And before you start trying to create this horrible economic situation before us, how about reconciling for me the 670K jobs created last month in the household survey, resulting in a lowering of the unemployment rate? Or the unexpectedly larger American inventory of oil.
Oh, that's right. Because the media tells us they don't count.

This is the most ridiculous reply back to me I have ever heard on the freep -
First off with regard to Iraq I have been one of GWB biggest supporters for the action he took in Iraq (along with the WOT) - Though, no one can deny the GWB WH sat back and allowed the DEM's and the media to run down our efforts in Iraq to such a degree that now over half of all Americans want us out (and or think this war isn't a success) -
The fact is the Iraq war along with the WOT has been an amazing success - Though the WH needs to get out and address lies and falsehoods before the spread into the public (sheeples) minds - (but the WH sat back and allowed negative spin after false negative spin to take hold...and said nothing) -
Outside of that I don't have time to address every comment you made because most of what you wrote does go along with anything I have been saying -
Lastly the fact is DEM 527's have kicked our as$ - The GWB reelect team had no ground game up on GWB supporting 527's - We are paying for this now - Period.
Oh nevermind. You don't realize how negative you come across and how frustrating it is when you pound us over the head continually with Bush does not get his message out....Bush is not mounting an effective effort......
I just get so sensitive to all the flack heaped on Bush by the opponents and when more flack from one of us lambasts him for not stopping the lies, the distortions, AND that person is within reach - I react.
WE just have to do what we can to help him because everyone else is trying to destroy the man.
Agree 100% -
I guess at times my fault is I tend to call a spade a spade amongst allies without worry about how it is taken - (to me, those of us on freep want GWB to win - we don't need smoke blown up our as$es to stay motivated - With that notion, I tend to say up front where I believe the GWB reelection team is messing up -
Trust me, outside of the freep I am daily proclaiming GWB is going to win and things are sitting just fine to all those I come in contact with in my business life -
With that said, when I come here to the freep - I see this as a no BS zone - that none of us on here should need smoke up our as$ and we should be able to tell it like it is -
That being the GWB reelection team got into the game WAY too late - They allowed way to many false premises to be set (was at a family wedding this past weekend in OHIO(!!!) and I can't tell you how much many of these people living there have bought into the "Iraq is a mess" "and under GWB the economy has went bad" -
Bottom line is that is trouble -
First I am helping with the cause at the grassroots level in both MI and NC -
Secondly the GWB reelection team DOES HAVE ways around the media - especially the NATIONAL MEDIA - one way is to go to the local news level -
Having an "economic success story of the day" - with a new success story released each day highlighting some positive within the economy - For wherever the highlighted company is located - this would pick up tons of local media coverage "that day and week!!" - thus bypassing the national media (Reagan did this all the time) -
GWB addressing the public with a PRIME TIME address was also another simple and effective (AND NEEDED) way for him to get his message (and FACTS) out concerning the war in Iraq and the WOT -
The fact is GWB should have addressed the nation by now - He should have stood up to the lies and spin of his critics - he should have looked them in the eye and the American public and set the record straight concerning the war in Iraq - The war in Iraq has been an amazing success - the future is better because of our actions!! -
Those who have given all deserved to have the President stand up and say what they did was right and why the world is better off - AND where the critics are wrong - they deserved this in a national address - A National Address would have brought the public back up to speed - Yet this hasn't been done - He addressed the nation over stem cell!!! yet the WH can't find the time to address the nation over a war!!!????
