Yep - should help turnout for Bush. But, you're right - not much chance for Keyes. I'm curious about why Alan would want to move to IL, put himself through this, and add another lost election to his record. Something tells me it's not just a process of throwing the assistance to Bush. There must be something about the lure of the stump and media attention, along with the ability to add to coffers. No matter, I'm glad he's willing.
A cynic would say that he needs a way of getting significant attention periodically, or he will no longer be able to command those large speaking fees (not to mention the donations to his web-based activist groups) and might have to get a regular job.
They're debating now on Fox whether or not he's a sacrificial lamb for the GOP or will elevate the Illinois Senate race to the national level.
Maybe because someone he respects asked him to do so?
