Christians also refer to God as Abba. I always wondered where this came from.

Abba is Hebrew for father. It was also Aramaic for Father.

My father is Jewish too.

Depending on the sect of Judaism, that either makes you Jewish or not Jewish.

Some sects accept patrilineal lineage as Jewish, and others ( Orthodox, Hareidi, etc) use the Halacha rules for guidance that specifies the mother is the source of Jewish heritage. Reform and Karaites accept patrilineal descent as Jewish too IIRC, and maybe Reconstructionists, but I dont remember.

Abba?

Forgive me, but I always thought this was a 1970's band?

Aramaic for 'Daddy' - an affectionate term as a child to their daddy.

Abba is Greek for "father".
