What's Going Around -- 8/5/04
Snippet:
For the past two weeks, kids with viral gastroenteritis, a stomach virus, have been showing up in the northeast office of Dr. Gary Beach. He says the virus begins with nausea and progresses to vomiting and diarrhea.
It lasts about three to five days. Parents should make sure the kids stay hydrated and watch younger infants and children carefully. Call your doctor if any of the symptoms become extreme.
Thanks, flutters.
