The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — New video aired Saturday purportedly shows a San Francisco man being depacitated moments after he urges the United States to end its occupation of Iraq.

The man on the tape identified himself as what sounds like Benjamin Vanderford, from San Francisco. He sat on a chair in a dark room, his hands behind his back, trembling and rocking back and forth.

Al Qaeda-Linked Cell Vows to Hit Italy

Aug. 7, 2004 — DUBAI (Reuters) - A militant group claiming links to al Qaeda said in a statement Saturday its cells in Italy were ready to strike if the country did not withdraw troops from Iraq before a 15-day deadline given by the group expired this month.

"The truce we had offered you...to withdraw your troops has almost ended. Our cells in Rome and in all other Italian cities are prepared and ready to carry out their mission after the end of the truce on the 15th of this month," said the statement signed by Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades -- al Qaeda Organization.

"You won't feel safe in your homes. Each place will be a target after the end of the truce and the targets have been defined," the statement said.

The group sent a statement last weekend to the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper giving Italy a 15-day deadline to withdraw its forces from Iraq or face attacks.

"The Brigades' words will ring deep inside Italy and will be heard by the rest of Europe. Anyone who has violated Muslims in Iraq and in every other Muslim country will feel the bitterness of suffering Muslim people," the new statement said.

The group urged its "cells in Italy" to attack any target once the deadline ended.

"To our cells in Italian cities in Rome and everywhere in Italy, war is approaching...get ready to strike any target in front of you after the end of the truce," it said.

Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades had previously issued threats against European countries, saying it would start with Italy, for not responding to a "truce" issued to European states by al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden which expired in July.

The truce gave countries three months to pull troops out of Afghanistan, Iraq and other Muslim states or face attacks like the Madrid train bombings in March that killed 191 people.

U.S. officials have said Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades' links with al Qaeda are unclear.

Cops were hunting yesterday for the mystery woman whose image was captured on surveillance tape as she torched Old Glory and threw it on a garbage can, a police source said......

S.F. man says beheading video is a hoax

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A video aired Saturday that purportedly showed an American being decapitated in Iraq was a hoax.

The American, Benjamin Vanderford, reached by The Associated Press in San Francisco, said he videotaped the staged beheading at his friend's house using fake blood.

Vanderford, 22, said he began distributing the video on the Internet months ago in hopes of drawing attention to his one-time campaign for city supervisor. When his political aspirations waned, he thought the video would serve as social commentary.(snip)

That story was proved to be a hoax, video taped by people in SanFran. The "victim" is alive and well. The maniquin they used, is not.

OK, so if that might be a TX in the corner, could this depict the possibility of a nuke device on board a cargo plane into DFW? The main runways are N/S configured, so an approach in from the south would take you right over Arlington, about 10-12 miles out, average glide path height would put an aircraft at about 4500 ft (two bows height?)as it approached Arlington. What is the range of a nuke at 1 mile high? Dallas is 15 miles east and Fort Worth is 15 miles west.

I was just listening to Monica Crowley's radio show on WABC and she sure had an interesting story to tell. Last Thursday she was on a flight from Florida to LaGuardia. She was watching the flight map on screen and noticed that the plane turned from its northerly course and was heading west. She asked the flight attendant what was happening and the attendant became alarmed because she hadn't noticed. Now they're heading back to Florida. Monica insisted the flight attendant ask the pilot to inform the passengers as to why they turned back. Pilot announced that that air space of DC was closed off. Pilot said no other explanation was given to him.

Someone should check when the original image was posted last year and see if it was about the time some vague threats were discussed regarding the Hoover Dam.

I did a brief search on yahoo and pulled up something at ATS from last summer (sept) but didn't find anything at FR, but seem to remember the same discussion. (lat long)

You don't need a plane for a bridge. You can fly "up" to a dam. Lake Mead is the Las Vegas water supply. But you would need some serious explosive to breach that. . .
