Fair Warning, This is a VANITY rant.
I have been watching (lurking), for quite a while. I have come to the conclusion that, since FR has almost assumed "icon" status as an alternative news outlet, there seems to have been an "organized" effort at using FR as a vehicle for subverting thought.
Most recently, there have been some interesting banter, usually between the same individuals, about how much better CNN has become and how FNC has degraded, and how "so and so" isn't watching FNC anymore because of.....(insert some bogus issue here).....
After you break the code, it is almost hysterical to watch.
The usual targets seem to be Fox News Channel, ANY gun post, and FR in general.
I would just caution and advise all of us old-timer, hard-corps Freepers, be aware that you may be the subject of manipulation on the part of the notorious "seminar callers" of Rush Limbaugh fame.
As a note of warning to the "opinion shapers" that think they are being clever on FR. I have been documenting chapter and verse and send it to the Mods regularly.

Why bother with the other "news" channels? If I feel like watching fiction, I can rent a movie.
Luckily, (authentic) FReepers are a thinking bunch, and therefor are not readily influenced by anyone's flawed (or falsified) "opinions".

Agreed! I don't know exactly what it is about her voice that I can't stand. And her exagerated enthusiasm is hard to take.
Heather Nauert ought to have her own show. She's a no nonsense girl, and delivers her stories without a flaw..... and she's adorable!

YEP! We should speak up more. We get so used to trolls that sometimes we figure we'll just ignore them. But newcomers and lurkers may think we actually agree with them if we don't speak up.
But seriously, I do agree with most of what you posted. FR does get taken advantage of, comments made out of context and all. It's the way of life for those that have to slant the truth to fit their way of thinking.
