Actually this movie is going to primarily skewer the liberals. South Park hates liberals, and previous threads are about how the movie rips Michael Moore(he is always wearing mustard stains throughout the film) and other anti-war nuts.
I took it from the drudge story that this was anti-war on terror. My mistake. Hopefully they will make some good points, i cant imagine a puppet movie selling very well though.
Sometimes South Park gets pretty vulgar. I'll watch it late night to screen them for my kids. I allow them to watch Barbra Streisand as Godzilla.
I agree, one of the funniest episodes I saw was the one mocking the 2000 election results. When the kindergarten class had an election for class president. The loser started calling for a recount.
Exactly.
Before everybody goes off halfcocked, maybe they should READ about it first:
Talking to "Variety," Matt Stone said of that movie, "I hate these new new Hollywood films that are CGI-driven. Trey and I loved that 'Thunderbirds' series because of the artistry of the marionettes. It's amazing that a studio would make a movie out of and take out the only thing that was about the series." Continuing, Stone also told "Variety", "What we wanted to do was a send-up of these super important huge action movies that Jerry Bruckheimer makes." Stone concluded by saying, "the subtle joke here is that all actors are puppets. This will probably piss off everyone in town, and might well be our swan song." Although Stone referred to his stars in that quote as puppets, most of the cast will indeed be marionettes (manipulated by strings), rather than actual puppets (which are usually manipulated by someone sticking their hand up... the rear).
