A new film set for release from PARAMOUNT has raised the pop culture threat levels at the White House -- a film which mocks the war on terror and media urgency using puppets, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"I really do not think terrorism is funny, and I would suggest PARAMOUNT give respect to those fighting and sacrificing to keep America safe," a senior Bush adviser told the DRUDGE REPORT this weekend.
The new fuss film TEAM AMERICA, set for release two weeks before the November presidential election, is entering post-production from with SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone
A deep voice using serious tones opens the film's teaser: "We live in a time of unparalleled danger. Weapons of Mass Destruction are being offered to terrorists all over the world. Global chaos is about to consume every country on Earth. And there is only one hope for humanity."
The senior Bush adviser, who asked not to be named, fumed after seeing the movie's official website and trailer.
"This is just unconscionable. Not funny. And I believe it makes fun of everyone in law enforcement... and in the armed services who work tirelessly to keep us safe from harm."
Marionette puppets are used throughout the film to mock terror threats, and media figures who dominate the nation's airwaves.

the anti-nannystate theme was very evident and strongly stated.
the importance of choice and individual responsibility was more quietly stated, but evident.
I was quite surprised to see such themes in a Hollywood effects-laden sci-fi summer blockbuster.
Pleased, though.
Well, I'm pretty much planning on going now. And, beyond political concerns, it's just pleasing to look at from what I've seen.
My take is this: Philosophically, these guys are totally on board the War on Terror, but they also understand the 'nuance', if you will, of what makes America come across to many people as arrogant and stupid.
Now let me say this. I've been part of the War on Terror, physically. I've been from Iraq to the Philippines, and I'm especially sensitive to 'negative waves' about the WOT. If this was a 'Bush bash' or worse, a soldier bash, I'd have got up and left in a heartbeat.
It's not. I'm straight up 100% for this movie. Sure, it pokes a lot of fun at us. We do dumb things. Dumb things are fun to satire. But the IDEALS that are being ridiculed in this movie are those of appeasement, ignorance and cowardice. I see this movie as being deeply supportive of the idea that there is evil in the world that must be direcly confronted, even if it does make fun at our gung ho, triggerhappy image.
"It made fun of those who were more fanatic about Gibson than Christ, yeah."
But that was a canard all along, created by critics of the film. People were passionate about a film that gave a reverential presentation of their faith, and yes, were thus grateful to the filmmaker who made it happen. And yes, many defended Gibson after he was attacked, but their was never some Gibson cult as parodied in that episode of South Park.
And it was that (even more so than its view of Gibson as a lunatic)that weighted it more against The Passion/Gibson by aligning with Gibson the vile and idiotic Cartman.
Ben Grimm = Michael Chiklas = the bald cop on "The Shield" - solid actor.
I will reserve judgement until the movie.
However, South Park is funny stuff.
Lighten up.

Mike Chiklas is always fun to watch, though.
I'd pay money to see the '90's version of the FF - so bad it got locked in a vault, NEVER to be released. The press on it is SCATHING.
Sorta like a Lou Ferrigno "Hercules" movie, but without the redeeming qualities.
A train-wreck THAT bad needs to be seen, with the proper libations of course.

I haven't spent much time there, but it looks like something you'd appreciate.
Their use of the F word is too much, but I can't help myself from watching South Park. The plot is unusual often....and it is just darn funny.
The 90's version?...Yeah - it was epically awful :D - Think 'Steve Reeves" Hercules...
I love the Civil War one where they try get drunk at a civil war re-enactment and actually march on Washington....Clinton about signs over the country to Cartman IIRC....lol
