A new film set for release from PARAMOUNT has raised the pop culture threat levels at the White House -- a film which mocks the war on terror and media urgency using puppets, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"I really do not think terrorism is funny, and I would suggest PARAMOUNT give respect to those fighting and sacrificing to keep America safe," a senior Bush adviser told the DRUDGE REPORT this weekend.
The new fuss film TEAM AMERICA, set for release two weeks before the November presidential election, is entering post-production from with SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone
A deep voice using serious tones opens the film's teaser: "We live in a time of unparalleled danger. Weapons of Mass Destruction are being offered to terrorists all over the world. Global chaos is about to consume every country on Earth. And there is only one hope for humanity."
The senior Bush adviser, who asked not to be named, fumed after seeing the movie's official website and trailer.
"This is just unconscionable. Not funny. And I believe it makes fun of everyone in law enforcement... and in the armed services who work tirelessly to keep us safe from harm."
Marionette puppets are used throughout the film to mock terror threats, and media figures who dominate the nation's airwaves.

A comedy about the War on Terror wouldn't even be a 1/1000th as controversial as To Be or Not To Be was back in 1942, which was set in Poland during the German invasion. And that movie -directed, written, produced and photographed by European emigres, most of them Jewish and starring Jewish comic great Jack Benny- is considered a comedy masterpiece today

Even proudly proclaimed it while accepting an award from People for the American Way. Why would PAW give those two an award? I don't get it...

These are perilous times for the unregenerate man, but not for the true believer in Jesus Christ.agreed
i remember when letterman came back on the air and boo-hooed all over the place, and now is fallen in lock, stock, and barrel with the rest of his creepy friends in belittling the one guy trying to protect him

Here's a little tidbit I just found:
...My other favorite December news also came at that People for the American Way As Long As It's Not Conservative Stuff dinner. Trey Parker, the co-creator of "South Park," declared that he and partner Matt Stone are Republicans, proving once again that liberals choose their friends based more on surface than substance - and this time their lazy habits turned into a most embarrassing moment for them.
Of course, anyone who has watched more than a few episodes of "South Park" knows that Parker loathes liberal "values." He and Stone have blasted casual (and not so casual) divorce, lefty spelunking in the Constitution for special rights for gays and ethnic minorities, and parents who are too busy with other things to teach their children right from wrong.
It says a great deal about People for the American Way As Long As It's My Way that they automatically assumed that a program with a lot of profanity in it was one of theirs.
PS: This came from celiberal.com

Timothy Bottoms has since parlayed his Bush impression on the show into a second career, including a very serious turn as the president in that one TV movie by Lionel Chetwynd. I'm grateful to Parker and Stone for reviving the career of this very talented actor, whom great things were predicted for after The Last Picture Show, yet never reached stardom.

Their 'Passion of the Christ' episode, though, was clearly weighted more towards the anti-Gibson forces. It made fun of those who were more fanatic about Gibson than Christ, yeah.

Norman Lear is a big fan of the show, and Matt and Trey helped revive interest in All in the Family among younger viewers when they admitted that Cartman was based on Archie Bunker. In fact, when I first saw an episode of South Park, and Cartman started spewing his dialogue, I instantly said "gee, he's like a pint-sized Archie Bunker".
