Islamic militants threaten attacks in Italian cities
Radio Netherlands ^ | August 01 2004

A group of Islamic militants claiming to have ties with al-Qaeda has given the government of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi 15 days to withdraw from Iraq.

In a statement signed by the Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades, the group said its cells were preparing to carry out attacks in Rome and other Italian cities.

The group had posted a similar message to European governments several days ago, warning that Italy would be the first target. Prime Minister Berlusconi is one of the United States' most loyal allies.

I keep hoping that somewhere on earth, there is one country which will dump PC immediately upon being threatened, and start deporting all foreign born muslims immediately until they either are all gone, or the threats stop. Followed by native-born muslims.

Once upon a time I assumed that the U.S. was that country.

If one starts exterminating them, all those still alive will speedily deport themselves.

Maybe Italy should tell them they have a 2 hr. head start towards Syria.

I would also like to see one of these threatened countries immediately hold a press conference and announce that they are doubling their deployments to Iraq with a promise to keep doubling with each new threat.

Following that tactic, by the 5th threat, Italy will have 192,000 troops in Iraq, more than we currently have there.

I think maybe I'm gonna' park my car in front of our local mosque, get out, and watch.

Just to let them know I'm watching...

Me too. I also wish that any threatened country would respond by increasing their troop strength in Iraq. My impression is that other than the US, Britain, and the Poles most countries have sent regular soliders and more MP type troops. I'm sure they all have "special ops" or SWAT type teams. They should send them in with the express mission of rescuing their hostage nationals and/or hunting down the evil doers who have harmed them. The only response to provocation or intimidation should be escalation.

"Once upon a time I assumed that the U.S. was that country."

It would never have been us, we're the nation of immigrants, remember? But the Dutch are cracking down and beginning to deport their illegals, etc. and they are not even involved in this war. The West CANNOT allow itself to be cowed by the left into making itself a big doormat for the Islamofacists. I think that Berlusconi understands this, and I hope the Spanish are ashamed of themselves. We better be willing to stand up to these people, or they'll rule the world without killing anyone, threats alone will get the job done.

In response, on each of the 15 days, an Islamic mosque should be leveled in each coalition country.

I swear to God I would do it.

The Islamorats have adopted the tactics of the most disgusting terrorists on Earth - the Democrats.

These victim-pleading, whining viscious groups of bastards insulate themselves (in a PC-world) from counter-attack by shrieking to the complicit media and world bodies for defensive protection while they attack with impunity.

I promise you, my world would be very different.

The increase threats to many countries should shake the UN to its knees. If they do not offer some kind of world war against terrorism and quit the do nothing, the UN will crumble. (As far as the US is concern, a complete pullout would shake them up.)

The Netherlands has over 1,100 troops stationed in southern Iraq.

"The Netherlands has over 1,100 troops stationed in southern Iraq."

I stand corrected, my sincere apologies (and thanks) to the Dutch.
