This is sort of his IM GONNA HAVE A DREAM, AFTER THE ELECTION speech. I guess we should brace ourselves for Kerry's 55 minute concession speech.

Would not surprise me if Kerry/Edwards demanded as a precursor to deigning an intervew on FNS that Brit not be anywhere in sight.

Did you read about Edwards' warming up the crowd yesterday by talking about ONE America? He's caught the flip-flop disease! (Also reminiscent of Lieberman's 180 on his core beliefs during the 2000 campaign.)

Hah hah, Biden says the French and Germans will come along because they won't have Bush as an excuse anymore. Yep, that'll do it.

Unbelievable ARROGANCE. I am so d*mned tired of hearing that he "has a plan". I seriously doubt that he DOES.
Probably, it is like this. He says he has a plan. He'll show it after the election. Thus, if he gets elected, he'll rush a plan out. If he doesn't get elected, he'll have saved himself allot of work writing a plan and instead can go snowboarding in the Swiss Alps.
[The more I hear of his Senate record, and seeing how he has acted after the Primaries, I think Kerry is a lazy, do-nothing, who used his Senate tenure just to get him in position to run for the Presidency. He seems more desirous of getting the title of President than in performing as President. He sure hasn't performed much as a Senator.]

(After 20 years in the Senate, all Kerry has to run on is 4 months of service in Viet Nam.)

Newt just aimed a nice subtle slapdown to Chris Wallace. He noted the inconsistency of Edwards saying that everybody's taxes would go down while Kerry talked about all his new spending. Newt says, "Sometime, somebody will ask the Senator to show us a budget where such a thing is possible."
This of course, strongly hinted that Chris should have asked this question, which he did not.

Did you read about Edwards' warming up the crowd yesterday by talking about ONE America? What are the odds he's including us?
To: upchuck
Because sKerry has always said he's not gonna clue us in until after he's elected. He figures it worked for Nixon in '68 when he said he had a 'secret plan' to end the Vietnam War.

It's a "Bloody Mary Morning."
Off topic, but Tuesday, Bob Dylan begins a tour with Willie Nelson. They will be playing at minor league baseball parks. I'm going to Sevierville (Dollywood.)

Newt said Kerry is someone with a lot of amnesia for someone who wants to lead the United States. hahaha!
To: dawn53
dawn, I think we are going to find out what America is made of in this election. Afterwards, we will know I do believe and it will be a watershed moment if there is an attack. Some days I think we are lost driven by a populace of naive, uneducated, emotion driven wretches who want a handout and a pretty face and a drama in the white house. Other days, I think we are very solid and the noisemakers are drowning out a country full of good people. I think this election will make it clear what we are.

Three months ago I was giving Limbaugh(a Russert supporter) the benefit of the doubt when it comes to big Russ's kid. Now I think he is just nothing more than another rat ideologue spitting out a modified version of this weeks DNC talking points. I have lost all respect for Russert.

I think Kerry knew before the interview what would be Chris Wallace's achilles heel: keep interrupting him. That is exactly what he did, and it threw Wallace off. Doesn't say a great deal about Wallace's talents (interviewers are supposed to know how to handle that). But being the arrogant bastard he is, Kerry has no qualms about it.

Exactly. I've maintained all along that this gigilo is LAZY. 20 years in the senate and only ONE bill w/his signature on it...and IT failed to pass. Constant and super equipped sports outings, too frequent days off to "rest," too busy to attend intelligence meetings, 80% absenteeism in the senate, etc.etc,etc. (Shades of Yul Brenner in "The King and I"...LOL)
To: Bahbah
Hah hah, Biden says the French and Germans will come along because they won't have Bush as an excuse anymore. Yep, that'll do it First the French and Germans don't have the military assets to spare. They can't even meet their troop commitments in Afghanistan. Both countries are spending less each year as a percentage of GDP on defense because they have to fund their social welfare system and an aging population. Moreobver, I don't think the French and Germans want to put their people in harms way in Iraq. It just wouldn't work domestically.
