Classic example of a straw-man argument. They mis-characterize what Bush said, then come up with evidence refuting what the mis-characterization said. Bush never made a link between Al Qaeda and Iraq a major rationalization for war. There were enough terrorist groups operating out of Iraq with having to rely on an Iraq-Al Qaeda link. But the libs constantly lie and say that Bush did try to make the link and that he has been disproven. Honest people don't use those gimmicks.

In the prelude to the American invasion in March 2003, those claims were echoed often by Mr. Bush and his top advisers, but they have not repeated that allegation for at least six months.

This is disgusting journalism. This just simply is not true. An honest journalist would give actual quotes of when he supposedly made these claims, and where. I doubt if this bozo could produce one example of a quote to back up his claim of Bush using Al Qaeda ties as a rationalization for war.
