AMBER ALERT: Two Coeur d'Alene children abducted by male suspect

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- An Amber Alert has been issued by the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Police Department requesting the assistance in locating two missing children.

The two children are:

KREM
Tatiana Exavier Seiber, four-year-old female, born June 6, 2000. Last seen wearing a purple tank top and blue denim cut-offs and is approximately two-foot, six inches tall and weighs 35 pounds with blond short hair and blue eyes.

KREM
Ford Patrick Ware, five-year-old male, born March 4,1999. Last seen wearing a black shirt with a yellow number "9" on it and unknown color shorts. He is approximately four-foot tall and weighs 50 pounds. He has blonde hair cut in a buzz cut above his eyes.

Both children were taken Thursday by a male identifying himself as "Jack" in a gold Lincoln Town car with Louisiana license plate JFP027. The vehicle is reported stolen out of Louisiana by a John Marc Thompson, 56-year-old white male, approximately 60-years-old and weighs 155 pounds. John Thompson is known to use the alias "Jack." Additionally, the vehicle has a Disney license plate in front and a rear left taillight out covered with tape. The Lincoln also has a moon roof.

The children were in the car with the suspect with the parent's permission. The suspect had befriended them while camping and identified himself as a preacher. They were all traveling to the Priest Lake area when the suspect's car did not exit Interstate 90 with the others in Coeur d'Alene and is believed to have continued east bound with the children.

If you see the children, the suspect or the car, please call 9-1-1.

SNAG on Amber Alert. Northern Idaho is narrow and between Washington State & Montana. Both those states do not have this Amber Alert up on their reader boards. Washington State has to get an ok from Tacoma Washington and it has been delayed in coming. Montana is not set up to take Amber Alerts. So please ping those known in Washington state and Montana. And all please continue to Pray. Also 10pm news said this man is wanted in 5 states. Thank you.

Touch his heart, that he may take them to the nearest safe place, where they will not be lost. You are with him. Show him where to let them go in peace and safety.

Good grief. My kids wouldn't get in the car with anyone without knowing from either me or their mother beforehand who was coming and that it was okay. Not best friends. Not grandparents. Not anyone. It may sound extreme, but once you start making exceptions for this and that, the kids may start figuring out exceptions on their own. One of the scariest things I've ever seen was a hidden camera showing just how many kids would willingly go with a stranger, even kids whose parents were sure theirs wouldn't.

This is horrible. May God see them safely home.

You are right, watching the news every day, I'm amazed how ordinary many criminals look. It is hard to trust or know anyone any more. Only the Lord actually knows someone's heart. I guess we have to ask the Lord for that wisdom to discern who we can trust and who we cannot.
