Sounds more like he was asked to resign before he got fired for using the company computer at work for proscribed employee activities.

Kind of like using company stationary for your own personal business.Just not done, by anyone, without the expressed permission of the boss.

I never posted to FR from work.
Everyone was freely allowed to browse the net for information, in their free time(excluding porn sites) but not allowed to involve the company in any way with non-company related commercial and/or political related activity.
ie- during lunch, I could shop online, but any actual orders had to be made from home or elsewhere.I could read any political website I wanted on break, but not reply using company resources.

It is just not done, in the real world for rather obvious reasons.

Not all of the Bishops have been quiet, strangely or not. The media is simply not interested in what the REAL Catholic Bishops have to say.

First, this is old news. Second, his being a delegate had nothing to do with it, as he was fired months ago. Third, way back when this actually happened, he supposedly claimed at the time that he was fired, or resigned, or whatever, because of comments he made on that chat group that criticized the bishops.

At this stage, this is just regurgitating propaganda.

Which is worse:

Killing an unborn baby?
Sexually abusing a preadolescent human?

He should not have been using the diocese's computers for other than diocese business. It is the same situation as using a company's computer resources for some project other than company business. It is stealing their resources.

You are right on your counter. The staff at USCCB is overpopulated with liberals who hate Bush and their counsel often gets incorporated into USCCB pronouncements. They get the bishops to put out statements opposing the "Bush" war and tax cuts, but remain quiet on abortion and stem cell research that might hurt liberal Democrats like Kerry and Kennedy and Leahy and Mikulski etc.

Well kept secret - most Catholic bishops are Democrats and come from Democrat households. Even on issues as basic to Catholic teachings like partial birth abortion, they can not overcome their roots and condemn Democrats who are Catholic in name only.

It actually sounds like he was fired for being a jerk (a weenie girly man) more than his support for kerry.

It seems every rectal orafice claims discrimination to cover their distasteful personality.

and where is the Church leadership? Strangely quiet. Why is this?

Because they're more Dem than Catholic.

Good. Why would anyone put their faith in someone who continues to defy Catholic Doctrine, and basically tells the Vatican to mind their own business?

A ray of bright light from the USCCB.

I need some good news. Listening to Fr. Corapi last night talking about his personal experiences in the seminary was pretty depressing. He did say that the situation is improving though.
