WASHINGTON - An alternate delegate to the Democratic National Convention says he's been forced out of his job at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for his support of presidential candidate John F. Kerry.

Ono Ekeh, 33, of Waldorf, Md., said his employers at the Washington-based conference accused him of using the organization's computers to moderate a "Catholics for Kerry" electronic message board.

Ekeh had been program coordinator for the Secretariat for African American Catholics, an arm of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, for three years when he was asked to resign from the $54,000-a-year post on March 9.

Ekeh posted 31 of the board's 401 messages from its creation last August until the end of February, when the publisher of an electronic newsletter wrote about Ekeh's role in the Catholics for Kerry message board. ...

I can't believe the bishops wouldn't accept among their ranks a supporter of an advocate murdering helpless babies! What were they thinking?

Well gee what a surprise the Roman Catholic Church demands that its employees not work against its doctrines. These Dims are so Dim that I guess they think no one would dare go against their politically correct notions.

I'm proud of the good folks who decided to fire this mishuided sinner. A ray of bright light from the USCCB. Miracles happen.

To me, it looks like the Catholics have finally seen the liberals for what they are, and are reacting against Kerry. They obviously don't want Kerry representing them in DC.

Don't hold your breath. For the 1st time in history we have a politician running for president who flagrantly flaunts his defiance of Catholic doctrine, a priest who gives the invocation at a pro-abortion convention, and a lot of Catholics attending the convention blindly applauding, and where is the Church leadership? Strangely quiet. Why is this?

They live in an alternate reality where you can believe that life begins at conception and abortion is a protected right. They are PSYCHOTIC.

Typical 'rat legerdemain: don't look at what I'm doing, look at what a helpless victim I am.........

Of course, you realize that this puts us one step closer to judicial decisions and legislation that would categorize this action as unlawful....perhaps even a hate crime. The Left's love affair with the culture of death will not stand for this type of thing. They will step up the persecution against those who adhere to the Word of God in this matter.

Wow, that is a tidy sum. I think the bishops have a blotted organization in Washington. I could be wrong.

I would like to have that job.

A twofer, firing a heretic to help shock them into the confessional AND reducing expenses. Good job!
