Sen. John Kerry revealed a lot about himself in his speech last night at the Democrat convention, such as when he paraphrased fellow Democrat Ron Prescott Reagan: "I don't wear my own faith on my sleeve."
He failed to mention that those Catholic bishops who actually practice the Catholic faith ban him from receiving Holy Communion in their dioceses. But today he's probably regretting how much he exposed about himself when he said, "I don't want to claim that God is on our side."
I knew Abe Lincoln... :)
I took it as another misquote of Bush - some time ago, the President said that he didn't believe that God was neutral in the situation on terror, the gist being that he believed that God was on the side of the just and that we were the just,vs. the evildoers.
God doesn't want him to claim it, either.
I would rather proclaim that I am on G-D's side.
Proof that God is on our side is the fact that the Rats nominated Kerry. If one wanted to design a living turkey of a candidate, they'd come up with either Kerry or Dean.
BTW, with a name like that you need to post some of your pictures, at least on your bio page ;>)
It seems a given that John Effing Kerry believes in some sort of god that would not take a side betwixt the child murdering Islamists .... and America.
Some god!
As good as no god at all. Which of course is what he actually believes.
Caveat: It would appear however that God HAS allowed the children of Satan calling themselves Islamists to punish us for our sins. Will we repent?
Amen.

Perhaps we shall have to go into captivity in Babylon. Or perhaps the "Times of the Gentiles" are drawing to a close.
this is taken out of context and just as bad when we do as when they do it.
he said "I dont want to claim that God is on our side, I want to say that we are on God's side" (it is an old quote)
BUT!!!!!!!!!! how many people in the audience don't want God in the classrooms or court houses... etc...
He managed to hit ALL the liberal hot button AND the conservative ones in the SAME SPEACH
Ahh, very good, and true too.
Uh, Mr. Kerry, you mean the God who said this about your rabid pro-abortion advocacy?
(Proverbs 6: 16) There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: . . .hands that shed innocent blood,"
or this about your sanctimonious defense of abortion?
(Isaiah 5:20) Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness"
Maybe it's the God who said this:
(Mark 7:6-7) And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ' THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'
Well thats good because God is not on the side of men who endorse the killing of babies who are dangling out of the birth canal. I have that on good authority by the way, the Bible.
John Kerry, you're no Abraham Lincoln!
Lincoln meant something else, in that we should not be proud and arrogant to think that all our free will is on the side of God since we are only human, The democrats however I believe really don't want to be on the side of God at all, take Howard Deans comments a few days ago, saying that people will eventually turn from voting for God, and also consider Alec Baldwin's remark at an official DNC event that fundamentalist Christians are wackos to which DNC chair Terry McAuliffe would not refute or condemn these statements.

Our Lord isn't impartial in the struggle of good vs evil. America is confronting evil. So, yes, I WOULD say God is on America's side in this struggle. Even of more importance, we are on HIS by accepting this calling.
That the Senator is unable to grasp the concept of evil and why it isn't unbelievably arrogant to make the claim we have the Lord's support is why he is unfit to wage this war.
His hand has been on our men and women throughout the battle in Afganistan, Iraq and across the world. In the span of a year we have accomplished in Iraq what took a decade to accomplish during WWII. Think this is accidental?
There has been no great Arab uprising in the streets. We haven't had a hundred thousand men and women die. WMD's didn't carve a hole into our cities or the Arab world. Saddam and his sons were removed. The Iraqi people are working together to unite their country even though many did not believe it possible. Freedom is coming to exist in the middle east for men and women alike.
These are providential blessings. Senator Kerry cannot see this because morality is relative to him. We have been blessed precisely because we are doing his will.
Furthermore, he was out of line in his statements ridiculing G.W. for wearing his "faith on his sleeve". I doubt God was amused this man felt it his right to denigrate how G.W. should honor his Savior. I certainly wasn't amused.
Why is that, John? Because you know He isn't or because that would be too big a lie for even a lot of democRATs to swallow?
"I don't wear my own faith on my sleeve."
God said that we shouldn't hide our light under a bushel. Why do you want to hide yours, John? Is it because you don't have a light?
Ohm for clarification on my last post, I was thinking that Kerry meant on the side of the democRATs...not America.
