Well, I've lived a lot of places, and Tx and Ok are two of them. Traveled a lot!!!

Lived outside Ft. Hood in a little spot called Kempner.

My Dad was stationed an Army Base called Killeen Army Base. It isn't there anymore.

In the 11th grade I went to school in Spiro, Ok.

Both wonderful states! Wonderful people there.

Lots of oil. Black gold, Texas tea!
Lots of tumble weed and horney toads and sand spurs! OUCH!!!!

Me, too. All the way from a small OK town to S.E. Asia, Western Australia & New Zealand. Lived it 8 countries. Nothing to do with the Armed Forces or schooling.

Thanks for that clause: "Sand Spurs"... When I was stationed in Del Rio, TX, the very first week I was there I totally and unexpectedly trashed my bicycle tires on a ride across a field. I was a "babe in the woods" from the NorthEast. Later, in my (up until then) always bare feet, I totally trashed my feet on a run across a similar field. I know what they look like (the head of a mace weapon) but I can usually not remember the term when I try to.

Nasty plant/ grass, that thing is... I like TX/OK, too, but that nasty is not why.
