Disagree? Us?? (grin)
Only because we're on opposite philosophical ends of this particular forum (Torie the neo-conservative pragmatist, myself the Biblical-libertarian reactionary).
Throw us in together with a gaggle of dyed-in-the-wool Marxists (on second thought... please don't), and I expect I'd vote with Torie about 60-65% of the time.
Not more; but probably not less. Most grudgingly, no doubt... just as Ron Paul (whose former chief of staff, Calvinist Logician John W. Robbins, is one of my personal heroes), votes with the GOP leadership about 60-65% of the time.
I'm sure he doesn't always like it, and wishes for something better... but what's the alternative? Voting with the Marxists? No thanks...
Best, OP
My only curiosity, in regard to Torie's post in question, is how did the terms Calvinist and John Edwards come to appear together in the same sentence?
If Torie could explain that to me, I'd be in his debt.
"The wrath of God burns against them, their damnation does not slumber; the pit is prepared, the fire is made ready, the furnace is now hot, ready to receive them; the flames do now rage and glow."
