Sorry to hear that. And I do understand. Many of the people who lost their jobs with me five years ago are either smiling at Walmart or flipping burgers, or not even qualified for that. Some of them have work-related illnesses but can't get workers comp. Some of them are my age, but can't make it in college because they didn't graduate from high schools. There's all sorts of reasons and I don't like to see people get lumped together, as per is the norm for bureacracies.

I have downsized my life to the bare necessities. I sold my home and paid cash for a mobile home and by the time I get out of college, I will be 58. I'm taking extra courses to get out early. I doubt I will ever retire, though my kids say they will help me. I sure hope it never comes to that.

This is what they want us to believe we have to do for them from now on. Be perpetually in college constantly retraining - spending all our free income on being ready for the next rug to be pulled out from under us so we can further enrich others while having to essentially work two jobs - the paycheck and the hopeful garauntee of one through multiple diplomas. This isn't something we have to do. It's what we are being told we are expected to do so the globalists and the greedy can get their way. They outsourced the manufacturing jobs and then told us retrain for service jobs - people bought it and now the service jobs are going and now they're telling us they don't know what to tell us to train for; but, something will come up.. This is called the panic response of optimism hoping something comes up while knowing that will be outsourced to. They can't tell America the straight dope and get by with this stuff indefinietly. But as with the frog, they think they can keep turning the heat up on the cook pot knowing that we won't feel the rise in heat and will sit and be boiled to death. They've tweaked us a little at a time. Chinese labor is 50 cents a day payed by the government and in many cases is months behind forcing the workers in debt to the company till the government comes up with the dough. Meanwhile, we pay 100 bucks for the nike's imported from there. That is exploitation no matter what kind of bs happy face story one tries to paint on it. And you got several billion of them to outsource to before we get to think we can have job security of any kind ever again. This is a choice - not an inevitability. We built this country without China. Now they want to tell us that suddenly we can't do what we've done for several hundred years - why? because they've gotten us in debt so far that likely these countries are blackmailing us into submission at the diplomacy table. Who knows. Gotta stand up.
