Michael Barone on the floor for Fox News, saying that the crowd did not cheer except when Kerry slammed Bush.
He said in all the years he's ever been going to convention, this is the first convention he's seen that's all about hate: hate for George W. Bush.

Barone is a good barometer. (Baronometer?) He's an excellent political analyst.

The speech was horrible. He stole lines from a large number of Republicans including Abe Lincoln. He even adapted Howard Dean's line about the flag.
The only periods in this speech when he was passionate was when he BASHED the President. The only periods in this speech that didn't induce fatigue or laughter were when he became the anti-war radical that accused our soldiers of atrocity's in Vietnam. He received cheers when he bashed Our President, his administration, patriotism, and faith in GOD.
My only question is WHY did he wait till tonight to allow this message to come through? They restricted everyone was going "negative" then Kerry Flip flops again and does it himself!!!
