"LaVar Arrington is trhe Face of the Redskins!!"

"Arrington, 26, has become the most prominent athlete in the Washington area since being drafted second overall in 2000, forging a bond with Redskins fans. He is one of them -- a rabid football follower who collects memorabilia and idolizes past stars -- and says he considers it an honor to play for them on Sundays. His witty personality and the seeming ease with which he carries himself has helped make Arrington the face of the Redskins, taking the mantle handed down from cornerback Darrell Green, who retired in 2002 after playing 20 seasons in Washington."

Being a Nittany Lion, LaVar was always one of the Sultan's favorite Skins...he's probably my favorite, too, since Darrell Green retired!!

Yeah, even I like Darrell Green. The guy's a mensch, ya know?

Although, I have to stick up for Jim Kelley.

Not only was he a spectacular quarterback (Steering his team to an unprecedented four consecutive appearances in the Super Bowl.), but he was also-to the best of my knowlege-a huge supporter of the GOP in its unsuccessful-unfortunately-quest to defeat HRC.

LaVar rocks. Sam Huff makes a comment (either in this article or in another) that he wishes LaVar wouldn't hesitate and be afraid of injuring someone when he gets ready to unload on a QB. He helped bring an end to Troy Aikman's career, but I wish he'd get over it and just devastate the opposition the way we know he can!!!

He's a smart guy, and has a whole room in his house devoted to chess. Hopefully the $6.5M roster bonus won't become a distraction and he'll settle in for a great career as we get back to victory and glory!
