Although, I have to stick up for Jim Kelley.
Not only was he a spectacular quarterback (Steering his team to an unprecedented four consecutive appearances in the Super Bowl.), but he was also-to the best of my knowlege-a huge supporter of the GOP in its unsuccessful-unfortunately-quest to defeat HRC.
Fer the first 5-6 years I lived in Richmond (mid- to late- 80's), I played in a FlagFootballLeague in which Jim's brothers participated. I was actually on the same team as two of them before creating my own squad. Jim Kelly made it to games every once in awhile, but one year when there was a strike, he actually played on an opposing team...it was pretty cool. He's a genuinely good dude, imho.
