Boston, Mass Promoting his movie Fahrenheit 9/11 at the Democratic National Convention, radical filmmaker Michael Moore launched into a shouting, red-faced denunciation of Republicans Tuesday, saying supporters of the GOP are different from "real Americans"; that they are "people who hate"; that they are "up at six in the morning trying to figure out which minority group they're going to screw today"; and that in the upcoming presidential campaign, they "are going to fight...smear...lie...and hate."
Moore, who sat in former President Jimmy Carter's box at the convention Monday night, has been welcomed by wildly enthusiastic audiences at his appearances in Boston. He made his remarks about Republicans during one of those appearances, at a forum sponsored by the left-wing organizing group Campaign for America's Future. The speech drew an overflow crowd; fans stood in line for hours for a chance to hear Moore speak.
"The right wing is not where America is at," Moore said. "Most Americans, in their heart, are liberal and progressive. It's just a small minority of people who hate. They hate. They exist in the politics of hate."
"They're not patriots," Moore said. "They're hate-triots, and they believe in the politics of hate-triotism. Hate-triotism is where they stand, and patriotism is where real Americans stand."
Moore, who predicted victory for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry "It's all over but the voting," he said warned that the Republican Party will do almost anything to keep its hold on power. "They're not going to go without a fight," he said, "and believe me, they are better fighters than we are."
"I mean, they are up at six in the morning trying to figure out which minority group they're going to screw today," Moore continued. "The hate, they eat for breakfast. They are going to fight and they are going to smear, and they are going to lie, and they are going to hate."
Moore conceded that there are "good Republicans." Those Republicans, he said, will vote for Kerry in November.
Moore also attacked the media for not asking the "right questions" before the war in Iraq, and he tantalized the audience by recounting a story in which he said a major but unnamed television personality told him that Vice President Dick Cheney had interfered with news coverage of the war. Moore said he was on a morning talk show recently, and, "After we went to commercial, the person who was interviewing me said, 'You know, you're right. When the war started, it was very difficult here to book the people we wanted to book and ask the questions we wanted to ask. In fact, I got a memo about my tone of voice. Apparently, the brass had received a call from Dick Cheney's office, they said they didn't like my tone of voice. I got a memo on it.'"
Moore said he told the person, "You've got to tell that story." But the person answered, "I can't." Moore continued: "I said, 'They can't fire you. You're one of the most well-known people in America. You've got to tell this story, and if you don't tell it, I'm going to wait maybe another week.'"
The audience laughed at Moore's threat to expose the newsperson. Moore promised to tell the whole story on his website and name the person involved. "That person is on notice now," Moore said, "and I'm doing it in a friendly way."
I'm up at four in the morning. Working. What are you doing at that hour, huh, Mikey?
GW Bush is POSITIVE on the future of the USA.... goin' negative on the future of the Demonrat Party.....
Whew!!
Did I miss anything??
/ sarcasm
Michael Moore would never volunteer to defend this country. He has no right to question the valiant service of others.
no tiene huevos gallena.... (sorry for the spelling).

Hmmm, let's see, I was up at 5:15, as I have a real job in which I actually contribute to society (something Moore is unfamiliar with), but I didn't hate anything but my alarm clock.
I have married a woman of a "minority" group, so the "screwing" remark could be considered technically true (with all due apologies to my lovely wife.....).
I didn't hate anybody today. Sure, there were a few drivers that inspired some bad feelings, but I got over it. I guess I should take it back; I think I may actually hate Michael Moore. Does that make me a "hatriot?" LOL! Somehow, I think God and society will forgive me........
The rest of his rant is garbage. I believe that there is a not well disguised undercurrent of desperation and fear of losing that is permeating this convention. You can hear it in Moore's insane rants, the Big Brother control of every speech and announcement at the convention, the illogic of Jimmy Hoffa Jr. on Hannity, the complete disconnect from reality in the speeches. Look at the manic vitriol spewing from Kennedy and Gore (up to the Prozac laced convention speech anyway). Look at the desperate way the Dems are trying to paint Kerry as something he isn't: a moderate. Look how hard they seek to hide the fact that they are all extremist liberals.
Moore personifies the type of neoDemocrat that Senator Zell Miller speaks of so eloquently that has hijacked the Democrat party. Moore is the kind of neoliberal that Joe Lieberman separates himself from in his patriotic support of the President in the war on terrorism.
The silence of the Democrats when America haters like Moore speak is highly reminiscent of the way the world's Muslims are silent when Islamofascists bomb innocent Muslims, Americans and anyone in their way.
Kerry's silence is the worst of all, giving tacit approval of Moore's vitriolic sedition, all while giving himself plausible deniability when it finally goes too far. He will just give the wishy-washy excuse that Moore has a right to speak. Sure he does, but that doesn't mean the speech should be approved by anyone that seeks the highest office in the land.
Kerry's approval of people like Whoopie Goldberg, and advisory appointments to liars and thieves like Clarke, Wilson and Berger, clearly demonstrate why the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth are right when they say Kerry is unfit to be Commander in Chief.
Moore is an audiovisual terrorist, and should be treated like any other terrorist, shunned at minimum, and despised out of decency and necessity.
I think you're on to something there.
I've seen this kind of behavior before, many times. Mostly it involves people who were not popular with their peers, and especially with the opposite gender.
They compensate for their lack of popularity by cultivating within themselves a false sense of superiority, which often manifests itself externally as a kind of pseudo-intellectualism that is used to attack and belittle those persons and institutions they secretly regard as superior to themselves.
When such a person receives the acclaim (and cash) that has been heaped on Moore in the last few months by his enablers, the nagging inferiority complex can be lessened somewhat. But in its place, delusions of grandeur and a sense of invulnerability to consequenses can occur, as we are now witnessing.
As a side note, Moore's subordinates are probably treated like sub-humans by their self-styled "media god" - it fits the profile.
In the end, when Moore's extremism and messages of blind hatred begin to grate on the ears of the general public and people no longer sit in rapt attention to his tantrums, what we can look forward to is his own self destruction.

Freudian Projection
The following is a collection of definitions of projection from orthodox psychology texts. In this system the distinct mechanism of projecting own unconscious or undesirable characteristics onto an opponent is called Freudian Projection.
* "A defense mechanism in which the individual attributes to other people impulses and traits that he himself has but cannot accept. It is especially likely to occur when the person lacks insight into his own impulses and traits."
* "The externalisation of internal unconscious wishes, desires or emotions on to other people. So, for example, someone who feels subconsciously that they have a powerful latent homosexual drive may not acknowledge this consciously, but it may show in their readiness to suspect others of being homosexual."
* "Attributing one's own undesirabe traits to other people or agencies, e.g., an aggressive man accuses other people of being hostile."
* "The individual perceives in others the motive he denies having himself. Thus the cheat is sure that everyone else is dishonest. The would-be adulterer accuses his wife of infidelity."
* "People attribute their own undesirable traits onto others. An individual who unconsciously recognises his or her aggressive tendencies may then see other people acting in an excessively aggressive way."
* "Projection is the opposite defence mechanism to identification. We project our own unpleasant feelings onto someone else and blame them for having thoughts that we really have."
Exactamundo.
Bingo.
He is hate. He is so blinded by it, that is all he sees. He's going to burn out before our very eyes...mark my words this guy is literally going to implode. He has no boundries, no moral compass..he is waiting for the next shock moment to produce. This time it will probably cost someone their life.
This Democrat convention of 2004 is starting to remind me of their 1972 convention when the extremist ("McGovernites") took over the convention, the machine, and the heart-and-soul of the Democratic party - and forever changed their party.
With this tone and demeanor, they can be setting themselves up for a big loss come November, IF, and I mean "IF"...the Republicans really begin to expose them to the American people for what they really are.
I'm a night owl, and I'm really just settling in to sleep at about 4 a.m. so 6 a.m. is right out for me. Can I volunteer for the night shift? That way I figure we can have this run as a 24 hr. operation. You with me, Gramma?
Oh, we are ON!!!!
TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY!!! WHOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!
To Moore: You are trying to co-opt "hatriots" when, in reality, it was first used by someone who was talking about you, Moore. Sorry Moore--everything you said, you are saying about yourself and many, many fellow Dems. Democrats, leftists, socialists, communists, fascists are the hatriots. Look in the mirror you slobbering pig.
