Why did O'Reilly even bother having Moore on?All Michael Moore is about is attention for himself, and he is getting what he wants. What a barf bucket Moore is!

I would like to see someone like Ollie North interview/debate that dastardly waste of space.

Oh yea. Mano on Mano. That would be great. A real man, a Marine vs. a fat socialist, anti-american slob. It would be beautiful! But, you know I also would like to see either Annie or Laura take the fat fascist slob on too.

Bottom line though, it sounds like the "trying too hard to be fair" O'Reilly just wasn't up to the task at hand. I had suspected as much beforehand though. He is a lightweight in interviews.

Fine... So what's your point? Moore outwitted O'Reilly?

Didn't you hear O'Reilly say: it didn't matter what facts he presented to Moore... Moore is a Bush hater and no logic will change it...

Moore is a slob and O'Reilly should ahve been good enough to slice and dice the toad. Come on Bill. Don't agree on WMD within 10 seconds. They have found stuff already. WTF?

OK. I saw it. O'Reilly summed it up politely. Moore is not interested in facts.

The interview was too short. I would have liked to see Moore undone. But he's too dishonest to feel really responsible for any wrong doing.

I kept wondering through the interview if Moore ever attended college. He's a very sloppy thinker. He'd be pathetic if it weren't for all the harm he's doing.

WMD doesn't mean crap.

Dean just stated that Bush is immoral... Heck, too bad O'Reilly can't get Dean...

I did like how Moore said that we should have taken out Hitler long before 1941. Sounds a little unilateral and pre-emptive if you ask me.

You'd think from listening to Moore that we were sending 5-year-olds on some form of modern Chidren's Crusade. ;)

Yea, you would wouldn't ya. But I think he is trying to bring up other images. Like the ones of 14-15 year olds being found dead on the front lines of the last days of Hitler's war. People like Moore are most dangerous when we underestimate them. They are not dumb, they are very devious and subtle in their ways.

My original post you first replied to:

O has been spoiling for Moore forever and then trips over his tongue.
Sad...he ALWAYS either stumbles with celebs or gets all soft....especially with the gals.

O'Reilly had been spoling for a fight and then dropped the ball in my view. Moore came off much more astute than he deserved.
Unlike many FRReepers who demand pundits agree with them 100% of the time I don't. I often agree with O'Reilly although I find him a bit PC in sensitive areas. I hope this was not a "jump the shark" moment for him.
I also think he soft pedals celebs frequently especially chicks and I'll wage if this thread is still alive that other posters will concur. Susan Sarandon comes to mind first....he is BaBaWaWa with her.

Only he isn't smart...I saw the program, a good 12 grade high school "debater" could destroy him in two minutes.Bill seemed rather lackluster and should have rejected "Jubbas" premise regarding Iraq and the "WMD" B.S.

The United States had the "legal" authority to resume hostilities against Iraq for the numerous cease fire violations...end of story.

O'REILLY BLEW IT! I only saw the last segment, but O'Reilly blew it. I think O'Reilly is sometimes soft on certain issues, but now I see him as soft as a journalist, too. In the last round of this "heavyweight fight" he had Moore right where he wanted him - reeling on the ropes. He asked the mandatory "Hitler" question, and Moore was on the ropes. Moore was wrong about Hitler's designs on the U.S., etc., and if O'Reilly had persisted, he could have shown the world the hypocrisy of Moore.

Instead, he allowed Moore to take over the show, and it became The Moore Factor for a few minutes. He should have insisted Moore answer his questions. Even if he decided to answer Moore on whether or not he would have sent his son to Fallujah, here's what he should have said: "You're asking the wrong question, Michael. The correct question is: 'Would I have been willing on September 12, 2001 to send my son to get rid of Saddam, whom the entire intelligence community of the world believed had WMDs, who in fact had already used WMDs, who refused to abide by UN resolutions, etc., knowing that as one of 200,000 soldiers we sent over he might be one of the indeterminate number of casualties?' Given that this was the situation as we knew it then, Yes, I would have sent my son."

Drudge isn't only telling a half truth. Nobody told the other to shove it, but Bill made Moore look shallow in thought and ideals.

You know, I'd sign up. I wanted to right after 9/11.

How much use they'd have for a 40-something out of shape housewife, I'm not too sure :), but yeah, if I were younger I would have volunteered after 9/11. I know I wanted to something, anything, to help.

Thanks for posting the interview. :)

M: So you would sacrifice your child to secure Fallujah? I want to hear you say that.

Answer: Mike, if you were my child I'd sacrifice you in an instant to secure Fallujah - and consider it a bargain.

Now THAT is interesting---the F 9/11 is bombing in Eastern Europe, and for that reason. I'd love to get some hard information on that---did you read it somewhere?

B.O. is not a big supporter or Iraq war. He forgets the treaty and the numerous resolution by the U.N. decided against Iraq.
He alone has distorted the reasoning for the resolution to go take out Saddam.

President Bush still holds the trump card. He got the O.K. from the U.N. and the U.S. congress.May we remember that many people thought it was a waste of time since Bush did not need such approval.
