"may be hard for them to match up the DNA on Lori Hacking since she was adopted."

Match what up to her DNA? I would assume there'd be plenty of DNA around that apartment with perhaps a hairbrush, comb, toothbrushe, and any number of other items. If they're worried about matching the blood (if there is any) with Lori seems to me they'd have much to choose from.

What do you mean if there is any? Apparently you haven't read this article.

"It's inside the apartment - the former residence of Mark and Lori Hacking... where 2News has learned that something went horribly wrong.

According to sources police found blood splattered inside, including on the walls, ceiling and box spring.

It was found only after investigators came in with this high tech crime scene equipment.

It's called an alternative light source, once they turned it on that's when they found the blood.
Blood Splattered

Yes they have plenty of blood splattered all over and hairs in hair brushes, but without her body or a relative to match the DNA to, they cannot absolutely say the blood on the walls or the hairs in brushes belonged to Lori.

Common sense tells us it does but you need more than common sense when it comes to trying someone in court.
