Credit: The Cabal The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. YOU be the Judge and get informed. "I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat." |
Group linked to al Qaeda warns of 'columns of car bombs' Australia and Italy have received warnings through a statement purportedly from militants linked to al Qaeda that demanded those countries withdraw troops from Iraq. |

We will probably be in mid storm in the Monday to Tuesday time frame.
Seems like we have a tropical depression forming off NC, and the track will skirt my happy home here in the Hampton Roads area.
I'm already stocking up, because its been raining here for almost two weeks straight.
My building is not as secure as it was after 9/11. The concierge desk is very good at screening outside visitors but the elevator guards are rather lax with people who work there. All you have to do is show a plastic castle key to get on the elevator. Half the time the security guard doesn't even look closely. I think most buildings will step it up starting tomorrow though.
Interesting to note from our weekend adventures.
Chicago's Metra train security has increased. There are even public announcements on the train now about "heightened security", reporting unattended bags, etc.
At Millenium Park and the lakeshore, security was tight. Plenty of visible police and helicopters making rounds near the harbor and circling the highrises.
The added security did not infringe on our fun.
Security at the Cubs' game, however.....woefully inadequate.
It seems kind of early for tropical storm to develop already. Hope it's not an indication of a busy hurricane season to come. These days stocking up comes in handy for any number of reasons. We definitely have to be one step ahead.
Tropical Depression one.
Nope, this not good.
On Guard
Police asked company officials to be on guard for ``infiltration of your operation by individuals seeking employment, visitors to your facility who claim to be lost or appear disoriented, maintenance work that isn't announced or scheduled, deliveries that are not anticipated, people asking directions to sensitive areas,'' and other measures designed to ``discourage potential surveillance attempts.''
Police also instructed security personnel to check identification cards and insist that employees display them, and to have ready ``bomb threat checklists at all areas where employees may receive incoming calls.''
Companies should check their ``emergency generators, elevator recall operations and life safety systems,'' the police message said. Patrols should be ``conducted by uniformed security personnel at irregular times,'' including checking the building's roof, the advisory said.

I tried to post a track map but it didnt take. You guys should be getting rain from it (if it doesnt fall apart) by Wednesday or so.
I may as well have a target bullseye drawn on my house when it comes to hurricanes, etc. Anything that hits in the vicinity of Cape Hatteras and the Chesapeake Bay area is right on top of my head.
I live less than two miles from the James River portion of Chesapeake bay.
I give up....heres a link to the storm track...LOL

I've vacationed there - aside from hurricane season, it must be a beautiful place to live.
Welcome home. You've been missed.
Like the Cubbies themselves.
Its my adopted home state, and I love it here. I wouldnt leave it for anything.
Rome threatened with terrorist attack unless Italy withdraws troops from Iraq within 15 days. Al Qaedas al Masri Brigades addresses warning to PM Berlusconi in London publication al Quds al-Araby, claims its strike-cells already in place in Italian capital ready for action
Maybe there is a simultaneous attack plot in the works: NYC/Italy/London
How much you want to bet the Vatican is at the top of the AQ list for strike options?
With Ghilani(sp) and the Mexican Border lady in custody, they (Al Qaeda) have a major intelligence compromise in progress, and they either need to act fast or run.
This is going to be a white knuckle week, folks.
Update: American Airlines has just resumed service after cancelling ALL flights for 2 hours following a computer "glitch". Expect delays. Just reported on MSNBC.
.....low whistle....
Coming from Steve Emerson, this just gave me the chills.
He's never seemed to be an "alarmist", just a careful analyst.
You are so right. I have always found him to be credible. When he talks -- I definitely listen.
Perhaps they're not all *willing* jihadis. And I'm sure that "ve haff vays uff maykink zem talk".
