Not too long after 9/11, a ME type in a rented minivan was sitting at the side of the road near the local county airport videotaping the buildings and entrances.
Our local law enforcement wasn't interested.

Your local law enforcement WASN'T interested?!
Where the hell do you live?!
Any law enforcement person with one iota of common sense would check it out.
At the minimum, they should have taken the towelhead's camcorder, taken his name/address and mtold him to come to the police station if he wanted it back.
We all need to carry digital video cameras in our cars if we can.
Call my sheriff, although I am in GA, he will promptly call the right persons and kick them in the a$$ to do something.
