Thank god Sandy Berger borrowed those documents on port security. Otherwise we never would have thought to search this ship.

Just Damn! I hope its not a nuke warhead. Could cause a tidal wave even if detonated in open waters. Ship master is refusing the coast guard boarding.

Well, I bet the Coast Guard has more guns than he does. Bigger ones, too. He may regret that answer.

Excuse my ignorance of nautical terms - what is the difference between ship's master & captain?

It is so nice to be able to find a place with fellow news junkies! I don't miss a thing even while at work! What would we ever do without the Internet. We would work.

I bet Captain's drunk, or smuggling something. Not necessarily a "bomb".

For those of us unfamiliar with nautical terms--what is the "ship master?"
I think anyone will recognize, though, that it's not a good thing when the captain refuses a boarding party.

Ship being escorted off coast - had been tracking movements of it. Reports of a bomb. Captain refusing to let them search. Hmmmm. . . And the captain really things he'll be allowed here now? And you know this probably is not the only one. Guess things are busy now in Cape May. Stay safe, everyone.
To: looney tune
nothing I guess... Just relaying exactly what I heard reported.

Ok why did they let it all the way into the port of Philadelphia if they were watching this ship prior to entering US waters????????

There's a .45 caliber answer to that problem. There's also a 5 inch solution to that problem.

We'll probably find no bomb but 400 Chinese immigrants in the cargo hold.

As per Fox, the Captain is refusing a boarding to allow a search. Then sink it.
