We'll see....MSNBC just interrupted the commission briefly to show Kerry speaking (no audio) and said their reporter (Becky Diamond who I have criticized mightily in the past) is asking him a question and they'll play it later, then returned to commission coverage.

We'll see if Kerry politicizes it or not. I'm not sure, but I got the impression they interrupted was because the subject Diamond posed was this report.

You can put me in the cynical column.

I saw the questions asked by bin vineste referring the 911 "incident". I thought there was a little problem with Gorelick being on the panel, but the chairman thought it was hunky-dory (just make sure no one asks any embarrassing questions suggesting a PANEL MEMBER may have helped allow the attack to happen.

I saw the reverence given to dickie clarke as he related how clinton gave terrorism the highst priority but Bush willfully neglected it. None of them bothered to ask bergler about the documents sticking out from under his pants?

This deal is strictly CYA politics -- 100 Per Cent, IMHO.

Botox is poison. Too much of it can leak into the brain.

"WASHINGTON — The United States needs a new national intelligence director who has oversight over all of the nation's intelligence agencies, the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks recommends in its report to be released Thursday."

- Oh great....add yet another level of bureaucratic desks that will slow the movement of intel up the ladder even more!
WHEN WILL THE THE DC TYPES LEARN?! ADDING MORE OBSTACLES WILL NOT MAKE THE SYSTEM BETTER!

It signals to both parties that this Report must not be polliticized. It's far too important.

These guys have done nothing but politicize the report. The entire process of creating the report was an exercise in democrat "Gotcha!" politics. The commissoners themselves have behaved like strutting political peacocks (the Rats) or like cowardly whipped cur dogs (the RINOs). They've done nothing but suck up to the Tides Foundation (read Teresa Heinz Kerry)- funded Jersey Girls, teed up the softballs for the Clinton administration witnesses and given the Bush witnessess the full star chamber treatment on national TV. And when they were denied their opportunity to jeer at and run down the POTUS in front of the media, two of the members got up and walked out in the middle of his testimony.

And now they're going to go on a Clinton-style book tour to pimp their taxpayer funded fishing expedition performed on behalf of the Kerry campaign, all the while sanctimoniously declaring that they are above politics? Gag me. I wouldn't even use their report to wipe my ass with.

A reporter asks about Moore's film and the allegations about the relationship between the Saudis and Bush family and the role that might have played and why the commission didn't address that.

Kean hasn't seen the movie, but spells out how they addressed it and says (contrary to the phrasing of the reporter) they didn't "water down" that issue.

He's speaking of the importance of maintaining good relations with SA.

Thanks. I can't listen to this any longer.

We ARE going to be hit, because the Terrorists have to make good on their threats or lose credibility.

Covering every square inch of this Nation is impossible. But the Rats will blame it on Bush.

Question: Relationship between Saudi Arabia and Bush administration. Something about Moore's film.

Answer: I haven't seen the film. We do talk about the Saudi Arabia family leaving the United States. The stories circulating are not true. The airplanes took off after the FBI screened the people and after the planes were flying in America again. This isn't about oil and we did discuss that. The terrorists would be happy to destroy the goverment in SA as they would our government. We do believe our relationship with SA cannot just be to ignore this and that and we get oil and everything will be just fine. We need to urge them to implement reform in that country.

Holy Cow, I just heard that these Commission Ego Freaks are going on a Bus Tour to travel around and tell us how great they are.

Hey Commission folks....you have presented us with the logical conclusions we already know.....NOW PLEASE GO AWAY.

Today is the First and Last day we should have had public comment from these people. Instead...today is one of many press ops they have and will continue to make.

Not to make light of that horrible decision on his part, but I have never ever confronted an opportunity or excuse to leave work and not taken it.

I would have been out of that building instantly.

My sister was in the nearby Traveler's building, and saw the first airplane hit from the cafeteria window. She runs a bond trading desk. She returned to her floor, told everyone in her charge to leave the building and go home. Then she got in her car and drove home before the bridges were closed.

So They talked about setting up a position to oversee all the other areas, but isn't that why Bush made the HOMELAND SECURITY position? Not to mention, these power hungry egomaniacs just want to make more GOVERNMENT jobs...that NEVER solves anything! I say - let's hire some undercover Israeli Mossaud guys to do our "physical labor" and take out terrorists when we find them"...It's like a hornet's nest - if you just find one, but don't exterminate it, then chances are you're going to get stung!
