Police are questioning each and every passanger on the train per Fox News.
WINS - train was allowed to continue on to Penn Station New York about 10 minutes ago.
You're right - we probably will never know the whole story.
This is AMTRAC...of course all passengers are in danger! Crappy track, lousy roadbed, substandard carriages, and union employees. What more danger could anyone want?
Say what???..............
It's just Sandy Berger stuffing toilet paper down his socks and pants. He's so messy he crapped on the floor by mistake. Fortunately his security advise on how to handle the situation is invaluable to Amtrack and our nation. Unfortunately his advise did not include Lysol and a mop.
PocketPC's with wireless internet connection? Doesn't sound too outrageous.
This will be so much easier once we all have chips implanted in our foreheads.
I don't know about other states .. But here is PA, we have Bar Codes on our Drivers License
Maybe that's it?
I didn't think of that .. it's very possible
Yikes!
Talk about a lack of privacy...
Why has the title been changed to False Alarm? I haven't seen anything that indicates nothing was amiss. Even if they let the train proceed, that doesn't mean they didn't find something or someone and took care of it.
No kidding....remember what happened in Spain.....
They were hired by Michael Moore, but can't work down to his standards.
Police Detain NYC-Bound Amtrak Train |
Thursday, July 22, 2004
NEWARK, N.J. Police on Thursday were questioning passengers aboard an Amtrak (search) train that was detained at Newark Penn Station. An Associated Press editor aboard the New York-bound train said police were going down the aisles asking to see ID. They were checking the information with hand-held computer devices. Police also were checking overhead luggage compartments with a metal wand, and at least one police dog was on the train. Police were not allowing anyone on or off the train. The platform was cordoned off with yellow police tape. An Amtrak spokesman said he couldn't comment on what he called "an active police investigation" until it was over. The train arrived in Newark short after 8 a.m. EDT.

LOL.
CBS radio news says that what was discovered in the bathroom was a "suspicious note".
Probably a B Flat.
Trial run by the lefties, I betcha. They said they were going to bollux up trains with all sorts of false alarms. Getting ready for the convention. Trying to see how long the train gets delayed for, and what the procedures are.
