Guess who went with Clinton? Sandy Berger and Bruce Lindsay, but you didn't hear about that.

No, not until the last few days. Amazing isn't it?

I think they will be very careful with legal proceedings against a Presidential candidate. It just may be seen as (spun as) too heavy handed.

But it wouldn't be necessary. Just the threat of legal proceedings hanging over his head will have serious effects on his campaign. Just look at how they've had to purge their web-site. And what will Kerry say about WOT in his speech? He no longer knows what info he has recieved via Berger that may be tainted. This is a huge problem for him!

Help me out here: didn't Bush seal Clinton's records for so many years? Seems like I remember people raising hell about it.

The mission must have been extraordinary for such a risk.

I agree.

you're right it makes Kerry look like an idiot, especially with his stupid "I didn't have a clue" fiasco with Brokaw - it leaves you wondering how well anybody working there (at the Kerry campaign) has been vetted, particularly since Edwards was picked without any practical executive / foreign policy or intelligence experience & his history of weird stuff like new-age "channelling" to juries (something the Wesley Clark gang couldn't believe had gotten by Kerry's advance team). It's not because the Kerry folks are complete & total amateurs when it comes to protecting the nation's security - it's just that, frankly, with their demented view of the country, the military and our values, they just don't really care.

This is absolutely bigger than Watergate, but unfortunately the media is on the wrong side of this one. They were pushing for the fall of Nixon, but they're not going to help here, not the lamestreamers at any rate.

Thanks for your post. I had heard Clarke was going to be on Nightline but I just couldn't bring myself to watch him.

Hillary was last sighted with Elvis in a 7/Eleven just outside of Bumfruk, Egypt.

John Kerry should be concerned........ Very concerned!

Is Berger on arksuicide watch yet?

I was going to suggest that it wouldn't be necessary, because it appears he's ready to take one for the team. But that led me to wonder: what does Clinton have on Berger that would cause him to jeopardize his freedom and his reputation by pulling such a stunt? Whatever it is, I'm sure it's significant.

Did Nightline disclose that he is their paid consultant now?

His biggest point was that Bush failed to "get personally involved" in the terrorism issue after being warned a strike was coming, unlike Bill Clinton who got really involved and serious after he was warned about the millinuem threat!

I think you may be on to something there; when they wrote those reports and even when they had to move them to the Archives, they had no idea that 9-11 would happen....and people might check those reports!
