Heard on the John Batchelor radio program tonight: John Loftus claims that documents removed from the National Archives by Sandy Berger contain information about the Clinton administration's hiring members of the Arab Brotherhood (?), an organization with Nazi and Al Qaeda connections, to terrorize Serbs during Clinton's war in the Balkans.

This is entirely possible and would be unsurprising. The Clinton administration looked the other way while Iranian fighters moved into Bosnia and encouraged Iranian support. At the time he was, I think, trying to use our support for Bosnia, and later Kosovo, to build bridges to our muslim enemies.

(Of course, I believe a fair number of members of the State Department and other branches of government, including the executive, have closer ties to muslim interests than could be explained just by strategic considerations).

This was very much a part of the picture in Kosovo, where we allied ourselves with the KLA, whose mafia-like dealings are legendary. If we would team up with Iranian spooks and KLA mafia, why not muslim brotherhood?

Nothing makes the Clinton alliance with anything dirty impossible.

I am only hoping this can be proven out. At least it is interesting to speculate what could have persuaded him to take such a risk.

It's hard to say exactly, since he was posting the same sort of lies, hatred, and insults that he'd always vomited forth.

It may have been that more and more FReepers were coming around to realizing that we should have been on the side of the Serbs all along. He was posting his garbage attacking more and more of them until he reached some sort of critical mass and he was finally recognized as the hate-spewing embarrassment to Free Republic that he'd always been.

Do people realize that the Muslim Brotherhood is one of the founding institutions of al-Qaeda? They are the ones that offed Sadat and their leader the Doctor jointly created al-Qaeda along with Bin Ladin. Glad to see this speculation go beyond FreeRepublic.

The day the Sandy Berger story broke, he spoke on camera and said..."was looking..um..um..reviewing..." I wish I had been taping so I could see if his lips formed the letter "f" after he said "looking" and before he caught himself.

I wrote the whole sentence down, it was so striking, but I do not have it with me. I certainly remember the "looking" and then the mumbling.
