So they have their panties in a wad over this?
Is it supposed to be misleading or what?

Bet if one could ask Osama, he'd say that yep, JK is his guy (and that he'd also like to have that other one - what is it, Edwards, for his b*tch).

She doesn't have any to surrender... ;)

But that's the way she normally operates. She holds press conferences to distance herself from certain things and in the process gets those things more publicity (she could have merely made a quiet phone call and told them to take the sticker down and said nothing of it herself). Ergo, the mud gets thrown on the opponents and her hands remain clean. This is clever...we'll see how successful it is. Clearly, more people know about the sticker now and are buying it as a result of this, aren't they? This statement put out by the maker is further publicizing it. It is snowballing.

Let me assure you that Northup is no pushover. I've been involved in some of her campaigns (you see her TV ads from years past). On something like this she tries to always tread lightly as her district is not very predisposed to electing Republicans (quite the opposite, in fact). In effect, this was the only issue her opponent has come up with and she just pulled it out from under him, and at the same time the stickers and the question they raise is more in the public eye.

If you want to hear how poorly her opponent is doing at coming up with an issue, listen here:

Re: magnetic bumper stickers

I lined up several free magnet advertisements from phone companies or realtors (with the advertisements peeled off, but it probably wouldn't matter) and cut them to fit a bumper sticker.

Beware, though, of the liberals who don't like your message. They may vandalize your car.

I got the magnetic sheets at a large craft store (hobby stores may have them as well). I cut them to fit. I drive down Hwy 90 in Mississippi and have been meaning to get a CASINOS SUCK bumper sticker since I go by a half dozen of them.

Why not use the magnetic "stickers" to prank dumbocrats' cars in parking lots at groceries, malls, etc.? For example, if they have Kerry/Edwards, one might magnet-on an extra sticker showing a picture of a waffle.

John Stossel will be talking about this very subject on "Hannity and Colmes" tonight. I don't usually watch, but I will tonight.

"What kind of bothers me about it is that Benedict Arnold truly was heroic before he betrayed the cause."

Great point!
We're unfairly maligning the memory of Benedict Arnold in comparing his military record to John Kerry's!!

Why magnetic?
There've been some great advances in pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA's) in the past few years...

I made a bumper sticker once for a disgruntled postal employee
who wanted it to put on his supervisors car. It read,
"Honk if you're gay too"

This is the problem with Repubs and why we could lose the election. Democrats do a 'scorced earth' and we apologise.

If Freedom is worth fighting for in Iraq; why cannot Repubs; George Bush inlcuded; realize 'Principle' and the future of America; is worth fighting for, here at home.

I have been seeking blank bumper sticker material in order to make my own as the occasion arises. I think I finally found a place to get weatherproof labels for both inkjet and laser printers: www.worldlabel.com I have access to a color laser printer. The cost for 100 white 8 1/2 by 11 sheets is 50 bucks so if you use half a sheet, the cost is 25 cents a sticker. I wish they had weatherproof legal size and flourescent colored ones. Anyone know a source?

A woman I work with has a "Republicans for Voldemoort" sticker in her back window. I chuckle every time I see it.

Let me assure you that Northup is no pushover...yes, I remember her original election was close and somewhat of an upset - always thought she was a good representative, that's why it's kind of disappointing to see someone like her appear to cave to the politically correct types who are oh so offended when anyone gets a little rough and pointed with the rhetoric (anyone Republican, that is)- if taking the high road works to neutralize her opponent's only weapon this time around, I suppose it's worth it, especially since it seems to have served to highlight the whole issue, which otherwise would have been a big nothing.......

Playing on the "flushing" theme, I created a fake Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker with the wording below changed to: "When you are as full of it as these flip-floppers, you need two Johns!"

I just need to find some magnetic backing.

According to the box the magnetic roll is made by MSI (Magnetic Specialty Inc.). The phone number is 614/ 373-1558, but I'm sure others make it as well.
