Next time perhaps he'll wear a full-face helmet. Looks like he used to have a pretty good-looking face.

I expect he will again. Doesn't look like he broke anything, nose, jaw, cheek bones, etc., no bad lacerations, any scars he gets will probably just add character to his face.

Sometimes it's GOOD to be a guy...

. . . or a nice 5 snap wrap-around. I ground up one of these rather nicely myself, back when I was younger and more foolish. You could see the imprint from my face plain as day; the nose, the cheekbones, the chin, eye sockets. Two of the five snaps were ground completely off, yet the shield still held. It saved my face that November evening so long ago.

the full face would have snapped his neck like a noose.

the chin strap acts like a hangman's noose.

Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218, which is the standar for motorcycle helmets, not no standard to adress tension on the neck rotation.

It is a product defect with is litigated when the neck is snapped but the rider does not die.
