Cheney called Mandela a terrorist

If you do a Google search for Mandela+terrorist you'll come up with a lot of info like:

Mandela was convicted of terrorism in 1963 and freely admitted at his trial, "I do not deny that I planned sabotage. I planned it as a result of a calm and sober assessment of the political situation."

As economic sanctions, and especially an oil embargo brought about the end of the white regime in South Africa, Mandela was released and became the ANC leader. The ANC's terrorist arm, which Mandela headed in 1963 -- called Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) or Spear of the Nation -- continued waging terrorist attacks with arson, political murder and robberies.

It was at this time that the recently freed Mandela told cadres from a Umkhonto meeting in Venda, "It was always my view that the armed liberation struggle is based on and grows out of mass political struggle fought by the oppressed." He called for the total defeat of "the white minority."

The RATS/media have been doing everything in their power to get President Bush to remove Cheney from the ticket...to me that says that they are scared. And, as Martha Stewart says, that's a good thing.

He's a big reason why all the polls from across the country show Republican support of the ticket at a consistent 88-90%, which is a winning percentage.

Cheney called Mandela a terrorist... that makes him scum in my book. Cheney would be rooting for apartheid if it were still around.

Omnibus, new around here?

"The Democrats understand Cheney is going to take Edwards apart
Isn't that child abuse?

Edwards - half the Congressional experience of Dan Quayle with none of Quayle's gravitas."

I suspect the aftermath of the Cheney/Edwards debate will be about the same as after the Lieberman debate.

Talking heads wondering once again how they could underestimate Dick Cheney.

"He called for the total defeat of "the white minority."

Now I see why liberals love this thug. Oh, the burden of guilt that liberals carry.

The Dems keep crying about Cheney telling Patrick Leaky to go F himself. Well I'll tell ya, that phrase alone will resonate with the heartland more than anything else.

If you are listening for substance, Cheney is a riveting speaker, and you had better not let your mind wander, because he does't waste a single word. As far as any debates with Edwards go, Dick's going to slice and dice him, then spit the bones out. It's not going to be pretty, for pretty little Johnny. Edwards may be good with juries, but juries don't get followup questions. Cheney is judge, jury and executioner, all rolled into one package.

How do you know that Cheney was pro-apartheid and not anti-blowing people up?

"It's Cheney's job to charge them up and turn them out."

Yet another one he does a great job at.

I'm glad that they will FINALLY let him do his job.

That helps explain why the 63-year-old vice president, who does not exactly thrive on campaigning and is not famed for his oratorical skills

This surprises me. He always seems in command at the podium. His eulogy at the Reagan ceremony at the Capitol was very moving, as was his speech at the 2000 Republican Convention.

Reporters are always trying to tell us that Cheney is a boring speaker. Yah, sure.

Remember "the wheel has turned and it's time for them to go?" Remember "help is on the way?"

That was one of the most memorable speeches of my lifetime...as well as his excellent eulogy for Ronald Reagan. Cheney is a great speaker.

Meanwhile, the same media tells us what a great speaker Clinton is...the guy who never said a memorable quote or could give a SOU speech under an hour. Clinton is a BORING speaker, and I don't care how much media tries to say otherwise.

I look forward to the convention and the debate. And the ranting about what he said to Leahy is only convincing me that 1. Leahy deserved it and 2. The Rats are scared of Cheney.

Mandela is also a Communist.

When he dies, the ANC will go for the genocide of SA whites.
Not a word will be spoken in the UN or the EU in their behalf, either. If any US official makes a single sound, the Black Caucus will be all over them for racism.

Mandela is a figurehead and a fig leaf for Black Supremacy in SA. They do not want to spoil his illusory legacy by going for the whites full force while he is alive, as they think he will be forced to speak against them and that would spoil the puppet show.

Convictions are more dangerous enemies of the truth than lies

Your tag line says all I need to know about you. No convictions equals no core values, ala the liberals. That is not the same as what Mark Twain said, to paraphrase, It is not what we don't know that is so dangerous but what we do know that is not true. Moral relativism leads to the acceptance of anything, ergo anarchy. Anarchy and an orderly society are anathema.

The Cheney Lieberman debate was the all time best. I still laugh my tail off when I remember Lieberman attacking Cheney for all the money he made in the private sector. Cheney's retort "And I can tell you that the Federal government had nothing to do with it". When Lieberman weakly parried with "My wife thinks maybe I should get into the private sector" Cheney nailed him with the most devastating blow in political history "Hey, I'm trying to help you Joe."

Magnificent.

I hope that Cheney gets on Larry King or 60 Minutes and states that he will not resort to using age and experience against Edwards in the upcoming campaign....

LOL, I like it.

Saw some of the interview with the Cheneys on C-span yesterday. Gravitas, man...gravitas!

Oh? Please tell us about his energy policy.

He wanted to build a thousand new power plants and a lot of those to be nukes. I get the impression he believes every consumed watt is sacred like Rush.
