Part I: Al Qaeda and the Iranian Connection

The Iranians are employing Al Qaeda against the US-led coalition forces not only in Afghanistan, but also in Iraq. It is no secret that Zarqawi, who was running a training camp in Iran, is now operating in Iraq. He runs a separate outfit named Al Tawheed. He is not a member of Al Qaeda, but he is an ally. (snip)

An Arab named Shadi Abdullah was arrested in Germany some time ago. He is a former bodyguard of Osama bin Laden. He told a German court that he had attended a training camp in western Afghanistan run by Zarqawi. According to the court documents, Zarqawi's deputy is a man named Abu Haroon, an Iranian national. Shadi Abdullah told the court that Al Tawheed had a cell in Germany that sent as much as US $40,000 a month to Zarqawi in Iran.(snip)

Some Arab Al Qaeda operatives told me in Kunar province of Afghanistan in September 2003 that Zarqawi has Iranian and Uzbek passports under different names. He travelled on fake documents from Iraq to Jordan in April 2004, met his wife and children in Amman, and returned to Iraq. The Jordanians learnt of his visit only several weeks later. (snip)

THE NAME of the man organising Al Qaeda inside Iraq while sitting in Iran is Saif al-Adil. He is an Egyptian citizen. He was appointed Al Qaeda's new chief of military operations after the arrest of Khalid Sheikh Muhammad. Many people told me in Baghdad that Al Qaeda fighters were coming to Iraq from Iran and Syria to fight the Americans. I was also told by Islamic fighters in Baghdad that Adil was organising big operations against the Americans in Saudi Arabia.(snip)

C.I.A. Sends Terror Experts to Tell Small Towns of Risk

ASHINGTON, July 17 - The Central Intelligence Agency has begun a series of terrorism briefings for state and local law enforcement personnel, for the first time dispatching counterterrorism experts to cities and small towns to warn of the possibility of an attack by Al Qaeda this year, government officials said this week.

The C.I.A. briefings, which are being coordinated by the F.B.I., are conducted by intelligence analysts from the agency's Directorate of Intelligence. They have visited small cities and towns across the country, the officials said, with more meetings planned.

Many of the briefers are analysts from the C.I.A.'s Counterterrorism Center at the agency's headquarters at Langley, Va., which sifts through thousands of pieces of information to track terrorists worldwide. "Sadhb" is an Irish woman's name. Sadhb was an Irish princess. It is not uncommon, but it is not common either. If people on the Threat Matrix thread are looking for "Sadhb" then they are probably looking for an "Irish princess" - probably a fair skinned woman of the IRA who is working with the Terror. About Aljernaan, yes, I have to say that I do not share the more common opinion of her. I like her, and find her to be a very intelligent lady. I originally met her on an EOM/daleel board which I have been subscribed to since whenever. It was not a very productive board for the most part. When Aljernaan began posting, the IQ of the board took a jump, but some individuals were hellbent on using the board to threaten her and initiate a smear campaign, a lot of it in language that I had a hard time stomaching because it seemed like one man in particular, went out of his way to be uniquely crude and intimidating with her. From my personal correspondence with her, I find her to be articulate, open-minded, and in possession of a background/history that has given her a perspective that is worth hearing.
