1) bomb incidents - whoever bites off this one has my sympathy
2) power outtages
3) fires
4) suspicious thefts - such as tankers, chemicals, etc.
5) airline incidents - such as smoke/fumes in cabin/cockpit, "dry runs" like those witnessed by Annie Jacobsen and James Woods, etc.
6) mass transit incidents - such as subways being searched or shut down, the bottles of water left at subway platforms, etc.
7) refinery, chemical and power plant problems - such as shutdowns, fires, suspicious persons photographing structures
8) coastal/port incidents - such as the divers, port closures, or reports on security lapses
9) border incidents
10) nuclear research/power plant incidents - such as the security lapses at Los Alamos, Oak Ridge, etc.
11) jihad messages/images
12) homeland security warnings
Yes, I believe that any kind of a bomb is in play. Let's hope they can never surprise us and go nuclear.
Thanks Bethshaya. On my printout, somehow the entire first row came out truncated. It appears as Arabic characters that way.
I agree. For some reason, I think it will be car bombs. This has been the weapon of choice in the Middle East for years. It wouldn't take WMDs at each of these locations to send all of NYC into a panic - just your average run-of-the-mill pipe bomb or car explosion would do it.
Oh wait... That's right. The media would say "it's not terrorist related" and would blame it on the transit police or street cop who was unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

AUTHORITIES today appealed to property owners to be on the lookout for a blue and white plane stolen from the southern Queensland town of St George.
Ben Mitchell, spokesman for search co-ordinator the Australian Search and Rescue Service (AusSAR), said authorities needed the public's help to narrow the search area and find the missing plane as soon as possible.
"This aircraft has a potential flying time of five hours which gives us a vast potential search area," he said.....

what i dont get is why they would post a map like this in advance?
i mean, from everything we know, one cell often doesnt even know what the other is doing? if they're all 'cells', none would need a map, not for any reason i can think of
How many exit routes out of the attack area are closed on your map?
More than likely, with the gridlock on any normal business day...none will be passable should the need to evacuate come. Trains and ferry would be the best options, however they would be so overwhelmed I dont think they could get people out of NYC...nor do I think the govt even plans to evacuate them. (yes, read between the lines...yer on your own). There are 2.5 million people who live in NYC. How do you evacuate that many people at once? There arent enough buses, trains, planes, ferries and cars to do that. Most people dont own cars in NYC.
also keep in mind that from almost EVERYTHING we've read, the next hit is supposed to cripple the whole country, not just a city.

They are hard to see, but they are english numbers. At the very tip tip top of the picture. In the "text lines" that are arabic...in between there are numbers.
They are:
Top row: 435, 647 and 905
Second Row: 885 (next to the word Jakel), one illegible number ending in 5, and 617.
Third row: 776 and another illegible ending in 5.
They very well may hit multiple cities. Maybe all in one day, maybe not.
They released this picture on a jihaad site. I cant speak to why they would do that or even if it is legit. Just that "it is". Cant discount it, cant affirm it. Can only wait and see.
As others stated, welcome to TM, where everything is possible and nothing is ruled out. Analyze everything, doubt nothing..be prepared for everything.
The thought crossed my mind. A well placed bomb near the Jacob Javits Convention Center could take out both.
Very possible. Since there were no labels on the explosions on the orginal pic, I took my best guess to plausible targets in the area based on your assessment and the NYC tourist map.
Javits Center is so close to the tunnel, it is possible it is the tunnel too.

Then again, all their messages over the past 4 years have always warned that they were going to do something before hand. That goes hand in hand with the terror.
I dont know what was being talked about or posted on jihaad forums prior to 9/11, but since, the predictions, threats and pictures have always been omnious. Sometimes specific, sometimes allusive and cryptic.
