WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About eight of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers passed through Iran before attacking the United States, but there is no sign of official Iranian complicity, the CIA (news - web sites)'s acting director said on Sunday.

I tend to agree. I see NO way this could have been kept secret----unless there was an enormous effort made not to upset the populace. Can you imagine the people streaming out of NYC if they knew a nuke had been found in the city???

This is where my BS meter kicks into high gear. I agree that if the story were true, the Government would use every legal -- and illegal -- means to keep the story from the public, and no public servant from the FBICIANSAHSATSA, etc. would risk his or her career -- or life -- to leak the info to the proprietors of a relatively obscure website so that they can make a few bucks selling the top secret info to their internet subscribers.

The woman who wrote the definitive book on a Middle Eastern connection to the Oklahoma City bombing says the classified terror-threat report at the center of a criminal investigation of former Clinton aide Sandy Berger might include information about a high-level al-Qaida operative having visited OKC ahead of the 1995 attack on the Murrah Federal Building.

My first though was that the "Berger Papers" contain info re TWA Flight 800 that doesn't jive with the official line.

Honestly- I am quite impressed by the knowledge of many of the posters. They have provided substantial information linking AQ to agents of Russia. They tend to believe that the Cold War never really ended. While vodka infused Yelstin partied, corruption grew, but the KGB kept planning for nuclear war with the US. Yanomato mountain (sp) was and continues to be a major project.

Now, their paranoia has reached new heights as they believe we have "encircled" them. Also, they realize that we KNOW they gave AQ nuclear material and tech support....

I just took this train yesterday. They would not let us out at Stamford because 2 men had hidden in the bathroom rather than pay the fares. Well- Three Connecticut state police were on the train- and were called back to deal with the situation. Still- they would NOT let us off the train. Kept the doors shut a good 10 minutes while the local Stamford Police were called.

Interesting times.

I too convinced that they contain info of some kind that is terrorist related and does not jive with what we've been told. You may be right about TWA Flt. 800 but I believe you are right with respect to information contrary to what is generally believed to be true.

According to DEBKA:

An Iraqi terror group called “Bearers of the Black Banners” threatens to behead six hostages – 2 Kenyan, 3 Indian and 1 Egyptian - unless their governments withdraw civilians from Iraq.

The group warns first execution takes place Wednesday night and every 72 hours thereafter. AP receives photos of hostages with masked men holding up ID.

Just a quick market report:

Gold has fallen bellow the $400 level.
USD has shot up to $88 level.
DOW Jones shot up 75 points earlier today because of Microsoft and Greenspan news.

Currently, Dow is falling and is only + 9 points, taking back all of its gains from today.

INTERESTING:
The DOW Transportation has just plummeted down 1.26% or some 36 points. Within this sector are the AIRLINES. I wonder what is up. I do know that several of the airline firms are having some financial problems and are in the red. Something to keep an eye on.

Federal Agents Raid Two Lexington Locations Of Galls Incorporated

US Customs and US Commerce agents, assisted by Kentucky State police,
raided two Lexington locations of Galls Incorporated Wednesday morning.

Details are sketchy so far, but sources tell LEX 18 News that over 30 agents are involved in the investigations, which are taking place at two Galls locations - offices on Palumbo Drive and the factory/showroom on Russell Cave Road. Sources tell LEX 18 that employees at the Russell Cave Road location were told to leave the premises while leaving work areas as-is, and that employees at the Palumbo Road location have all been moved to a single room.

According to Galls' website, the company is "an ARAMARK company, (which is) America's largest supplier by mail of uniforms and equipment to public safety professionals. We cater to the special needs of people involved in public safety, fire fighting, correctional and emergency medical services."

The website also says that Galls supplies military equipment such as body armor, field gear and vehicle equipment.
