CIA: 9/11 Plotters Transited Iran, Govt Tie Unseen
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About eight of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers passed through Iran before attacking the United States, but there is no sign of official Iranian complicity, the CIA (news - web sites)'s acting director said on Sunday.

Isn't this the area where we had heard about the ME'rs, not long ago, who were asking questions and taking pictures? It was something in regards to the Superbowl, next years SB that is.
And also, is this the area where we read quite a while ago about the ME'rs that were in a small boat that were observed taking pictures of the underside of a bridge or something? As I remember that story, they were not dressed for boating but were "well dressed". Sorry I can not remember more about this but it has been a while.

That made her feel better? Was it a commercial plane or military? I'm not familiar with what you described but it could have been some sort of radar or radiological detector. Do you live near a major city?
Krispy Kreme Donuts announces the creation of a new glazed donut DRINK!
HARTFORD, Conn. -- A section of downtown Hartford was without electricity for several hours after an underground fire Tuesday night caused an explosion that shot flames 20 to 30 feet into the air from manholes, city officials said.
The outage affected downtown buildings, streetlights and traffic signals. Mayor Eddie Perez said the outage was confined to the central business district, where there are few residential buildings and most businesses have backup generators. But he said there are no backup systems for the traffic signals.
Additional firefighters and police officers were called to duty to "keep things safe," Perez said.
Firefighters stationed near Bushnell Park reported seeing flames shooting up from manholes at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jewell and Pearl streets.
Connecticut Light & Power Co. sent crews to the scene to assess and repair the problem. At one point some 7,000 customers were without power, according to CL&P spokesman David Radanovich. Radanovich said that by about 3 a.m. workers crews were able to isolate the damaged cables and restore power through cables that were not damaged. The lone building left without power Wednesday morning as the Mass Mutual building.
"It is still a long repair process. There was extensive damage," Radanovich said.
Crews were expected to work on repairs throughout the day and into the night, taking some 18 to 30 hours to finish the job, according to Radanovich.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire and explosion.

IMPORTANT:
Things to Look Out For: Be Observant:
Multiple sightings of the same suspicious person, vehicle or activity at the same location;
Individuals or activities that don't "fit" into the surrounding environment;
Individuals sitting in a parked vehicle for an extended period of time;
Individuals or several people sketching or taking notes, photographing or videotaping areas or buildings not normally associated with tourist activity;
Clothing out of place for the weather, such as someone wearing a heavy coat in hot weather;
Individuals or people carrying unusually heavy bags or backpacks;
Vehicles -- especially vans, U-Hauls or delivery trucks -- improperly parked or parked in locations not normally associated with deliveries;
Follow your instinct. If something doesn't look right, it might not be.

POSSIBLE SIGNS OF TERRORISM
* Unusual videotaping or photography of buildings or other critical infrastructure.
Videotaping is one of the ways that terrorists gather information about a possible target. A major terrorist plot in Singapore was averted when videotapes of the buildings to be attacked, including embassies, were discovered.
* Suspicious vehicles near significant buildings or in public places.
Terrorists use vehicles for many purposes, from surveillance to planting bombs (such as in Oklahoma City or Bali). Vehicles may be parked for an unusual length of time, sometimes in no-parking areas. Explosives can be heavy, so cars and vans may sit abnormally low on their suspensions. They may have expired registrations or have false or missing plates. There was one recorded incident where an attack was foiled because a vehicle had front and rear plates that did not match.
* Suspicious accommodation needs.
The way terrorists use, rent and buy accommodation is often suspicious. A British example was a rented garage that was used as a bomb factory. A resident became suspicious and reported men coming and going wearing rubber gloves. This led to a number of arrests of terrorists who had already attacked Heathrow Airport.
* Unusual purchases or possession of fertilizer or chemicals.
Fertilizer is a widely available product that has been used in many terrorist bombs. The Oklahoma City bombing killed 168 people. One of the clues in that case was a receipt for two tons of fertilizer.
* A lifestyle that does not add up.
While planning an attack, terrorists may lead lives that appear unusual or suspicious. The 9/11 terrorists are classic examples learning to fly but not wanting to learn how to land. The leader of that group also paid cash for many large purchases such as flight training, accommodation, vehicles and air tickets.
* False or multiple identities.
Terrorists often use false or stolen documents, including passports and drivers licenses. They can also have several identities and may give conflicting details to those they come in contact with. One example was an alert bank employee who noticed a series of unusual transactions and identified an account that had been opened in a false name. They reported it to authorities, who uncovered links to a terrorist group.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually I told her the plane would crash into something that would cause allot of havoc, not her pool. We do live near the PP&L Nuclear Plant in rural Northeast PA. Please dont tell me a radiological plane I will have to be medicated! She said the plane was white, and I even asked her to draw it but it came out looking like Jaws with a black disk on his belly!
Thanks for the update.

Revolving door at border

THE WASHINGTON TIMES
SAN DIEGO Handcuffed and shackled with their pockets pulled inside out, more than 150 illegal aliens are loaded onto an airplane every night, bound for detention centers in the United States to await deportation orders to their home countries.
Searched by a cadre of uniformed federal agents and encircled by heavily armed officers, they are herded off buses in the dead of night on an isolated tarmac at San Diego International Airport, where they silently shuffle single file on board a waiting MD-82 jetliner.

They are, for the most part, highly intelligent and many of them are former military.
There is much information to be found in many of their posts, but their main reason for the sites existance is their belief is that all evil leads back to Russia, Perestroika and their grand deception to lure the U.S. into a false sense of security before unleashing nuclear warfare. (thus The Final Phase)
So one's beliefs about such things may not coincide with many of the opinions expressed there, but the discussions are insightful and at times can be extremely informative.
OK so who does keep track of what and what do we need covered?
I can set up a database at lauramansfield.com where the different events can be tracked and then we can generate reports on them if you'd like.
Always glad to provide comic relief, for no place needs it more than TM!
