I really wouldn't be surprised if this beast took fertility pills so she could have some 'good story material' to write about later.
I loudly expressed my outrage about this article among my NAARL-supporting in-laws this morning.
Working on adopting a kid puts this sort of thing in an entirely different perspective, my wife and I agreed. "Oh boo hoo, birth control makes my tummy hurt, boo hoo, I live on a fifth-floor walk-up, boo hoo, my budget will be pinched, let's kill off two of them."
What I found interesting was the doctor's refusal to allow the boyfriend to witness the hired killing of his unborn children. You can have "choice," apparently, as long as you don't look too hard at what you're choosing.
So, she doesn't have to "give up her life[style]" for one kid? She had no business having child(ren).
I pity this child growing up. "Mommy really has to work, Honey. Go play with the nanny"
What a murdering wench.
I think I'm going to be sick....
Evil woman.
Her sole rationale was "I'm too important to take time off for this". She probably could have even gotten financial assistance from some charities to offset any lost wages.
It is a life, not a choice.
This is nothing but a CYA Policy (Cover Your Ass). He wants to be able to stand before a court down the road and justify murdering 2 healthy children. "Could have caused complications". "Mental stress". "Seemed to be struggling". "She WANTED it done; I was only following orders."
Saying it doesn't make it so. His 2 brothers are classified as "rotting tissue" someplace.
Sickening. And I work in Iraq.
Heartless bitch. She doesn't deserve the title "mother". God have mercy on her soul.
The babies were an inconvenience.........as is the norm for abortions. "Health of the mother" my ass.........it's ALL about convenience.
What a sad story. I have 3 children. Each of them was, and is, a precious and unique individual. They are my pride and joy, and now the oldest has compounded that joy by giving me two beautiful grandbabies.
They are worth incomparably more than the work and occasional annoyance that has gone into raising them. I cannot imagine denying this to oneself.
On her 100th birthday, my grandmother was asked by a reporter what the best thing was about to living to that great age. At first, her old-fashioned Irish wit came out and she said, "you can get way with nearly anything when people know you're that old," then she became more reflective and said, "It's really getting to see your children grow old themselves."
Grammy is 103 now, btw, and doing fine. I am very lucky to still have a grandparent at my age (55) and I hope I can do as well in the years to come.
Just effen damn! Shit!
What I wouldn't give to have more babies---and have to move to Staten Island and never leave the house (except for mayonnaise).
Heaven forbid. She might actually have to mingle with people who read the Staten Island Advance instead of the New York Times and vote Republican!
I will bet my bottom dollar she was taking Clomid to increase her ticking biological clock's chances of getting pregnant. As a mixed severe narcissistic/obsessive-compulksive personality disordered individual she dealt with the consequences in a grossly pathological, but totally predictable fashion.
Years ago (1980?) I remember reading an article in the Detroit News about fertility treatments and how one dr worked with a woman to conceive; she did and then she had an abortion. He said she told him she just wanted to know if she could get pregnant.
What a bitch.
bump for later reading
Absolutely, positively disgusting. What a selfish, self-centered, murderous person.
