Congressman: Al Qaeda entering southern border and changing names to Mexican surnames
KFI 640 Radio Los Angeles | 7.16.04 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 07/16/2004 5:34:53 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

Congressman John Culverson just stated he has just received informantion from Southern District U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby (Texas)that Al Quida members have been entering from our southern border and have been entering through Texas and blending into towns....He stated this was classified and he given the OK to release this information.

The congressman may be a former congress memeber, I didn't hear his complete title. He is on KFI Los Angeles now.

but a determined team of jihadis could get across that border even with better security, unless it looked like the Berlin Wall all the way across.

Well of course they could. I can rob a bank too, if I'm determined.

But the bank does install camera's...bars, mini-walls, alarms, and in many instances guards.

yw, potlatch. It's too bad that "our" elected officials believe they're Mexican elected officials. If they acted like Americans, they'd have shut the borders long ago.

And in some banks in L.A. area, you have to walk through a special security screening door to get inside.

They aren't listening to us, and that is even more alarming. If getting votes is more important to them they will be counting their votes in hell!

I do have a feeling that many will be "feeling the heat" for all eternity. God holds leaders to a higher level of standards than others.

Catalan is not Spanish but is spoken by some Spanish People, most Europeans speak Castilian Spanish as do most educated Central American and South Americans. Mexicans depending on where they were raised speak a less formal and mixed Spanish. There are also Indian dialects spoken in parts of Mexico. Most Spanish speaking countries have local sayings and differences.

Border Patrol Agents routinely must differentiate whether a Spanish speaker is from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Cuba, etc. Just like determining whether a person was born and raised in the USA or false claimimg to be a US citizen, a few questions along with listening to the words and accent will give experienced agents clues as to whether further interrogation is necessary to determine actual country of citizenship...the location and circumstances of contact also are clues as to original nationality as well as how the people respond to being questioned or apprehended. How do you think Agents work in areas that are 95% Hispanic and are able to pick out illegals with 99+percent accuracy without bothering the legals?...Illegal Mexicans currently are claiming to be from El Salvador so they can be caught and released and not returned to Mexico...please don't underestimate the knowledge of our Border Patrol Agents and their ability to do their jobs if only DC would let them...

so how many Spanish speakers out there can translate Wawa for me?

How many Moroccans know Mexican History? How many Mexicans know El Salvadors history? How many Mexicans know basic US history? If someone in a group of Mexicans isn't Mexican, they will be separated, the Mexicans don't want to be associated with possible terrorists...they will rat out the odd ball just like they rat out the coyotes...

The majority of the Border Patrol is Hispanic...most of them are native Spanish speakers..

some info on Moroccan Spanish speakers

He did not speak very good English, and he did not speak Spanish enough to be able to converse with the authentic Mexicans who were working there. I believe that particular Mexican restaurant went out of business.

As for his Middle Eastern-ness, I believe I relied on hubby's knowledge rather than my own. But I couldn't tell you what it was about the guy. It's been too long.
