Congressman: Al Qaeda entering southern border and changing names to Mexican surnames
KFI 640 Radio Los Angeles | 7.16.04 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 07/16/2004 5:34:53 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

Congressman John Culverson just stated he has just received informantion from Southern District U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby (Texas)that Al Quida members have been entering from our southern border and have been entering through Texas and blending into towns....He stated this was classified and he given the OK to release this information.

The congressman may be a former congress memeber, I didn't hear his complete title. He is on KFI Los Angeles now.

This last sentence does not make sense. If it's classified, he would not have any OK to release this material at all.

Freaking scary, huh?

Scary and damned saddening. We're apparently selling out security over hispandering.

Whomever gets the votes - I hope you sleep well knowing your quest for power, glory and fame - under the guise of "diversity" or "compassion" - will possibly result in the deaths of thousands.

Bastards.

no, its a legitmate question. if "large numbers" means they have 1000 people (for arguments sake) - what are they going to do with 1000 people? where is their financial, target planning, weapons access, and logistical infrastucture in this country to support 1000 terrorists?

And when little Paco appears on CNN in the breakfast hour, thrashing around with his legs blown off, which do you think's going to happen? If your answer is "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith will throw up their ham & eggs, then demand that the mines be removed," you're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

Most muslims in northern Morocco speak fluent spanish.

Actually there is a difference in Catalan Spanish, that European Spanish speak, and Mexican Spanish. The Moroccans European dialect would give them away.

I read an article wher Columbians make fun of Mexican Spanish, because it is not "pure".

"where is their financial, target planning, weapons access, and logistical infrastucture in this country to support 1000 terrorists?"

I think my first stop in the quest to answer that question would be 601 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington DC.

I just got on, just saw oceanview's first post, and I had to post the diary.

Oceanview, I owe you an apology. Now that I've read more of what you've had to say, I shouldn't have been so short and sarcastic with you.

Things are bad, and they're going to get worse. If you haven't had a chance, read Clancy's Tail (or was it Teeth?) of the Tiger. An AQ team comes in through New Mexico and shoots up 4 malls spread out across the U.S. His intel for his WWIII (US/Sov) novels was very accurate. I suspect his intel for this book is also good.

Maybe 9,980 of them ARE the support structure, and the remaining 20 are the next 9-11 hijackers (or whatever method they decide to use this time). As you said, it doesn't take 1000 of them to terrorize us. But the mere fact that they haven't done anything is NOT a logical argument to this story not being true. When was the first WTC bombing?? How many years did they lay in wait to plan and execute the perfect attack the second time?? They aren't in any hurry. And, heaven forbid, what if (to use your number) 1,000 of them ARE the actual "hijackers" this time around? What if their support structure is 10,000 and this time they will have 1,000 attackers instead of just 19 ? Osama was shown in a video pointing to the tip of his finger and saying that 9-11 was "this big" and the next attack will be "this big" as he pointed to his entire finger. The mere fact they have not YET attacked does not mean they aren't here planning, training, rehearsing, testing, probing, etc. Again, they are in NO hurry.

Yeah and the rest of the APB says, " Suspect is a swarthy male with borwn eyes, brown hair and a moustache, between the ages of 16 and 40".

Like THAT'S gonna help.

SIGH.

I surmise you are talking about the same Tom Clancy who has stated basically in public that saddam hussein was a pure sweet innoicent benign entity.

no need to apologize at all.

look, I am no "open borders" guy. yes, it can be a line of defense. but with a "small team" approach, I just don't see that AQ has a shortage of people. its the other logisitcal structure that they need to pull it off. I just don't see that they are so de-centralized, and their recruits are so strong, that they can just pat Mohammed on the back in Syria and say "go my brother, sneak in through Texas and conduct a terrorist operation", and off he goes to pull it off. there were some FR threads a while back with articles describing the logisitcal infrastructure needed to send one Palestinian suicide bomber to attack a target in Israel - it's significant. I really think that piece of the puzzle is the big picture.

Yup.

I've given up on TC--mostly because his output of late has been below his old standard.

When Michael Medved asked for anti-terror strategies, a caller suggested we bring troops back from Iraq to guard the border. Medved said immigration issues have no relevance to fighting terror. STUPID STUPID STUPID

DITTO DITTO DITTO!!! Terrorists are going to use ANY AVAILABLE MEANS to infiltrate. We MUST close our BORDERS OR monitor them very VERY CLOSELY. Our open borders are going to cost us our OWN FREEDOM eventually!!!
